The Club at Savannah Harbor
About
The Club at Savannah Harbor is steeped in Southern charm, offering dramatic views that span from the surrounding wetlands of the Back River to Savannah's famous Historic District. Sam Snead and Bob Cupp designed the golf course. Their ultimate goal was to bring to life the philosophy of "risk and reward." For example, a well executed shot placed near a hazard is rewarded with less club to the green or a better approach angle, or even both. The putting surfaces have gentle transitions to different pin locations, making them more traditional than modern. The designers incorporated another classic design element, the greens have subtle roll-offs or collars that fall away, a feature of golf courses from the 1930s and 40s. Golfers can also use the club's large, duel-ended practice facility.

Beautiful
Beautiful course in excellent condition, plays long for women because of watering you don’t get any roll . Can’t wait to play again.
Would play this again
The course was well maintained and forgiving on wife tee shots.
Senior Marshall, Jack Robinson, was incredibly welcoming. He checked in with us a couple of times during our round, asking if everything was OK. Jack genuinely cared that we were enjoying our round - what a guy!
Maybe going in too long about Jack, but it is Memorial Day weekend and he served our country.
We would play this course again.
Great day out. Wide open course.
Friend of mine and I went down to HH to play 3 courses. Savannah was first course. Also played Indigo Run and Hilton Head Country Club.
Savannah Harbor was a very nice course. Not sure it was worth $110 during the week, but enjoyed it. Course was in excellent shape and greens rolled true. Layout was fun, a challenge here and there but a lot of room for error. Very few woods and not a whole lot of water, but still enjoyed the day. Challenging enough for me. Carts were awesome, really plush and good gps. Nice range. Pace of play was a little slow, single in front of us and twosome behind us.
Only small complaint I can make is that there was nobody out front when we got there…could not tell if the place was closed. Now, once we got in, staff was excellent. Did not eat there. Plenty of water on the course. Recommend it.
Nice course
Very nice course. It was my first time playing here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Greens had recently been aerated, most rolled pretty good but a few were bumpy. Some of the greens had small areas of bare spots. We were lucky and got a discounted rate on line. $74.00. Deffinetly worth that but would never pay the $180.00 to $200.00 normal rate to play here.
Troon at its finest
Maybe a little biased as I belong to a Troon managed course but this is golf at its finest. I showed up late (12 for a 12:10) everyone was super friendly and quick. No attitude at all got teeed of at the exact right time. Great cart with gps accurate to the pin, Ice and water in cart and cart girl about every 4 holes. Pace of play was 4:10 on the nose. Course is a great designed linky type course, variety abound. Nice water (bay) holes etc. greens ran fast and true. Definitely worth every penny
Excellent Day of Golf
As always Savannah Harbor is a great place to play. The staff is friendly and the course is in great shape.
Windy & Beautiful
I love this course. If you're in the Savannah/Hilton Head Area and find a deal, you gotta play it. I'm local and snagged a stupid good deal on GolfNow, so I don't know how much the going rate is. I would happily pay well over $100 here if I was traveling or visiting.
You buy the experience here, and it's textbook southern class. Included in your greens fee are range balls, tees, towels, iced down bottled water, divot tool, etc. The carts are top-of-the-line with GPS, thick two-toned seats and rain covers. There's a bag drop, a starter, and a staff that is genuinely friendly and more than all else - helpful!
Look, golf is a strange sport and we all know it. We want the course to have a sense of sophistication without crossing over into snotty territory. We want manicured greens and striped fairways, but we don't want to pay too much. We want to play fast but we don't want people hitting into us. It's a constant conundrum. Savannah Harbor balances all of these factors very well.
The pace of play was typically fine, it was the one group in front of me in particular that was the problem, not the course as a whole. The greens were spectacular, but a little fast (just aerated I think, no problem). Sand was fine and groomed. Fairways were very defined and full. This course has a tendency to be windy, but that's no fault of the course. It's a great experience here and I highly recommend it.
phenomenal
Always a great course, spectacular when you get it for less than $50!
Good Day at Savannah Harbor
Everything ( tee boxes, fairways and greens) in super shape. Staff ALWAYS the best they can be. Great four-hour round, especially appreciative on golfnow discounted rate.
Great course & staff
This is one of the top two courses in this area in my opinion. The staff is also terrific. The only downside is the cost...quite a bit more expensive than other nice courses in the Bluffton and Hilton Head area
Savannah harbor club
Good course really nice fairway grass overpriced but probably priced for corporate business but good deal at golf now price
Highly recommended
Great fairways, quick greens, overall great golf experience.
5 stars all the way!
Beautiful course with all the amenities. Free range balls, great practice facility, fully stocked pro shop and the most gorgeous greens and fairways you could ask for. Got a great deal! The only minor complaint was the St Patricks Day parade going on across the river made for a loud round. Obviously not the fault of the Club.
Can't wait to play again....
This course is a must play
The course is in really great shape. The greens are very true. This is just a great venue with a really awesome staff. I can’t wait to play it again.
Excellent Course
Great day at Savannah Harbor. Excellent conditions and good staff. The course provides a fair challenge from all the tees. Greens are perfect and you must get use to the speed.
Course is in great shape.
I have played this course several times but it is in great shape right now. Tee boxes were lush fairways beautiful and cut to give you the feel of a resort course. Greens rolled nearly perfect and where not to firm or soft. Staff is always friendly and they let me get out ahead of large group so pace was perfect. If you catch the Golfnow deal during the week grap it. Great value for this course.
Nice course
Very nice course.
MANY holes give you a place to 'miss'---so it's your own fault if you end up in a bad place.
Exception is #1, which is short, but several bunkers, including a "PROTECTOR" in front of the green.
