Hiddenbrooke Golf Club

Every time I golfed at Hiddenbrooke, greens were in very good conditions and rolls very fast. But yesterday greens were bumpy and had some dead spots. I believe it will improve in time. Otherwise, as always it is challenging and fun golf course.

Great weather and companionship was had on my round . Course an d weather we’re great!

Greens were excellent even with the 1-16th aeration. Rolled great even with splotchy greens due to Poa. Course seemed fast and firm even though they clearly watered. Tee boxes flat and good. Go get some. Those final par 3 are nasty from the Palmer tees. Saw my -6 round lose a few on 17.

Always enjoy it here. No complaints.

Pace of play was great! Course was in amazing condition and hole locations were in some places I had seen before.

Hiddenbrooke is a beautiful but challenging course suited for intermediate and advanced players. You will definitely enjoy the scenery and the challenge that this course brings. Weekdays are the best days to play here.

Interesting Palmer layout, very much target golf with quite a few forced carries and some blind shots. That being said I played this type of course quite a bit for many years being from Northern California and am pretty used to it and the challenges they present. That being said I would go back in a heartbeat. The pace of play was quite good, it’s tucked out of the way so I would imagine they get mostly regular and local traffic. Greens were fast but not diabolical, they had been punched recently but were recovering nicely and were very true considering. Tee boxes were a little less than stellar, but they have a grass driving range which, for me, will make up for a little thing like having to take an extra couple of seconds to find a good spot for the peg. All in all fun course that’s challenging but not absurdly so for the mid-handicapper. But most definitely not for beginners

In my opinion, Hiddenbrooke is one of the more challenging courses in the area. While the course is in really good condition (fairways, greens, tee boxes), the Golf Carts are a bit old and torn up, the areas between the tee boxes could be in much better shape and there should be more Marshalls moving people along. My Saturday round was going to take close to 6 hours.

This unique layout gives a good true test of a golfer’s game at any level. It is a real shot maker’s course with plenty of trouble. The elevation changes make it fun in three dimensions and give an exciting challenge to the eye.

The weather was a bit windy and the greens were quite dry and fast. It was a challenging course.
