Hiddenbrooke Golf Club

Great layout. Greens are true but shaggy—they’ll be screaming fast come summer. Many traps are under needed repair.

Every thing was fine but the wind gave fits....

Tees need work....I love to play there....

While on vacation in Napa, I found time to play Hiddenbrooke. Having no idea what to expect, I entered the private entrance and saw a normal upscale looking country club arrangement.

I checked in and got my cart and group assignment. I noticed a plaque for an LPGA host site course and was excited.

The layout is great lots of elevation changes. The condition of the course is what needs work. Some tee boxes were in bad shape. Bunkers were a mixed bag. Some seemed normal while others had month old huge weeds growing in the middle of them. I have never seen such disparity.

Greens, fairways and rough were all in good shape.

Staff was friendly and the price point was good ( you get what you pay for). Pace of play was a bit slow but nothing out of the ordinary for weekend golf. (5:15).

A little more TLC from the superintendent staff and all would be well with Hiddenbrooke.

Woke up on East Coast time so got out early, challenging but fun course with great variety of holes. Weather was beautiful and the round was fun. Stopped for lunch and a beer and decided to try and play a second round. Staff were really helpful and the second round discount was a great incentive. Thanks all, we will be back.

Enjoyed our 5-6th round at Hiddenbrooke. We return because of the course layout and the relaxing atmosphere from staff and clients. Disappointed that so many tee boxes are still in rough shape. Fix those and ratings would go up no doubt.

Six hour round is completely unacceptable. 7:58 tee time and it was congested from the first Teebox. We weren’t stuck behind a tournament or nothing like that, just two groups of four that just didn’t get it. We called to have the Marshall come out and his words seemed to have no effect. Plus the greens still showing signs of aeration from two weeks ago made the round overall not that great.

Arnold would be sad to see how the course condition has deteriorated ! Looks like the members and area don’t support the course or the facilities? Started playing the course close to 20 years ago and it’s really disappointing to see! Hope the Troon team can get it back in shape!!!!!!

We were surprised by the recent green aeration, but other than that the course was pretty good. A few chewed up tees, and the need for some fresh sand in the bunkers, were the only obvious items needing some care. The course is nice and I hope to come back.
