Hiddenbrooke Golf Club

Course needs lots of maintenance. Tee Boxes are on need of leveling, bunkers are hard pan and fairways are thin. Wood bridges are starting to rot. Greens are in decent shape. This course is only 26 years old and was in great shape the first 10-15 years.

Not worth the money Hiddenbrooke charges. Course is in very poor condition(Uneven tee boxes, bare spots in fairways, no sand in the bunkers just hard dirt) Pace of play was painful, marshals are needed. On 1 stretch of 2 holes we saw 3 singles playing alone, why not pair them together to speed up play? We teed off at noon and at the rate we were going I sincerely doubt that we would have finished by sundown because if you’ve played Hiddenbrooke you know that the back 9 plays slower than the front 9. After 7 holes we were done! We just took our clubs and walked off the course, Didn’t ask for our money back, just DONE!!

Given the natural contours of the landscape and the hazards, this can be a challenging course. If you have good control over your clubs (both long and short), you will have no problem. If you have challenges getting (and staying) on the fairway, be prepared to lose some balls! This is a good course to hone your skills!

Great Course, sand traps and tees were not in good shape, but really fun to play.

Club house closed when we done at 5pm no chance to get a drink or eat

This was an exceptional value. It’s a well designed and challenging course.

Nice course, but the greens with all the fungus mounds is an issue. I understand the greens are going to be taken care of at the end of the year, so that aside I had a great time on the course and played in 3 hours & 15 minutes.

Driving range is weak, tee boxes beat up, fairways are ok at best, MANY greens suffering from fungus so unplayable and the bunkers have dime size rocks mixed with dirt and gravel. Sad cuz it could be a very nice course if maintained .

This course has a beautiful layout, very interesting design, challenging and fair.

There are a lot of elevation changes and moguls to navigate. Some greens are very well protected by water or bunkers. Tea boxes are in good shape.

If you live in California you know that we are in drought conditions so there are some dry patches on some fairways but overall this is a greener course than others at the present moment. You also know there is a fungus that is going around the golf courses, probably spread on the soles of our golf shoes. There are a couple of greens that have this fungus which makes them difficult to roll truly, but most of the greens are clear or recovering.

This is an old school course layout with many bunkers, which are expensive to maintain and the bunkers here need sand or re-design. The bunkers are a little hard and you have to pick the ball cleanly out of it. If you like fluffy sandy bunkers, will, just avoid the bunkers here.

The course maintenance is good. This is really good value for the money. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return. We had a wonderful round and I was surprised at how beautiful the place is.

Just watch the signs painted on rocks to find your next hole or you’ll make a wrong turn.

The fairways are bald in some spots, but that’s understandable in this drought. But the greens are in bad shape. There are many dead spots. The greens don’t reflect the high green fee.

This golf course has a good layout with great views and lots of fun holes, but bunkers have no sand, the greens are in bad shape, and the teeboxs are mostly dirt!!!

Having read a series of reviews from players over the last couple of weeks regarding the greens, I wanted to see firsthand how bad they were. Talked with the club house crew and they indicated the problem was related to a fungus that hit most of the greens. Certainly holes 2 & 3 were in bad shape, but the others seemed to be recovering. This situation usually takes a little time and maintenance to remedy. I look forward to coming back next month to see how things have changed. I like the course for it's challenging layout.

Last time I played here was February so needed to check the place out. Very disappointed with what I encountered. The tee boxes has always been a work in progress but I saw no progress. The greens were once upon a time in great shape but not anymore. It used to be a great deal but once again that’s no longer true. It has gotten worst since I last played in February.

This course has so much potential if it was maintained properly. All of the greens had some sort of fungus which made them very uneven. Tee boxes were uneven and patchy. Bunkers were a joke; packed hard with no sand. Until they do some major work the price should be less. This will be a last resort course for me. Very nice staff.

The course was in good condition except for the (White) tee box.es. We finished the round in 4.5 hours which was very comfortable. Lost bartender at club after round? Never showed to get a seconds beer.
