Hiddenbrooke Golf Club

I have played Hiddenbrooke dozens of times; I love the layout and it is one of my favorite courses in the Bay Area. But this time, I found the course conditions to be borderline unacceptable. The greens were generally fine, but the fairways were horrible (more brown than green with lots of bare patches), the traps were mostly unplayable, and the tee boxes were in miserable condition. Troon's standards are generally quite high, so I was surprised how badly they have let this course go downhill. The prices are okay, but I am bugged that they don't have any senior rates, and unlike past experiences there was no starter present at the first tee nor staff to help assign and load carts. I'll think twice before coming back again this year.

Always enjoy playing hiddenbrooke-despite my score. Great challenging layout. Greens were very good.

Hiddenbrooke is a great challenge for all golfers. Greens were not punched so they rolled well. Some areas had standing water. Tee boxes are getting a whole lot better. We found some brown areas in the fairways like they lost the grass.

I’ve played here since it opened. I’m done. Service, maintenance , pace and everything that is golf experience is below average. . That’s it. Thanks for 30 years. No more money from me.

The greens are well kept and the fairways is good

Very slow play and no marshal to come out and hurry things along. A number of the groups behind us quit after 15 holes. 5.5hrs

First time playing this course. Layout was probably one of the best in the north/east Bay. Tea boxes were a bit beat up, as were the fairways. Will certainly come back to give another try.

Overall a nice course. layout is good, greens in great shape. intermediates and roughs need to be mowed either more frequently or cut a little shorter. very long grass and a bit hard to find your ball unless its in the middle of the fairway. grass was also very wet in a lot of spots. would play again but probably more of a $65 dollar course than a $90 course but I get that it is expensive running a golf course.

Will definitely play there again, had cart problems, staff was friendly and very quick to resolve!!!

Haven't played here in a while- I really like the layout of this course- fun and challenging. Sadly it is not in the best shape. Enjoyed the round.

It had been a while since I had been here but it was in surprisingly decent condition considering the hot weather and the pandemic issues.

Course is in the best shape I’ve seen it in a couple of years. Greens were very fast. Several blind shots. Very good value. I’ll be back

Great course layout and overall quite well treated grass..

Not sure if the ground's crew have been letting the greens get firm before they aerate them or if they were doing a US open scenario but the greens were fast and fun. Wish more courses had faster grains like this layout was great really good time hopefully they maintain the greens like that in the future
