Open fairways
Spectacular downhill part 4 with water hazard on right side was fun lap outside 100 yards.
Blue Rock West
Got in an early 6am tee time so pace of play was wide open. Course conditions were decent. I would have no issues coming back. Glad that the course wasn’t going through an aerofication like the East course last time, where they closed 9 holes on us without prior notification and no discount.
Currently under aeration
Wish I would have known the greens were punched before booking the round. The rough needs to be cut, almost as challenging finding a ball here as Torrey pines. Fun track overall.
Slow play
We had a foursome in front us. They each had their own carts. They were not making the effort to keep up with a respected pace of play. We constantly had to wait for their carts to clear. Unfortunately our experience yesterday was quite disappointing.
Good place to play
I’m a high handicap (26) and the course is a nice combination of playability and challenge at my level. Good course conditions for a public course. All courses aerate in spring and the greens were tolerable and a bit better comparatively than some other course after aeration.. Course staff is courteous and helpful.
Off fairway grass needs mowing
The grass off most fairways was to long. Slowed play with players searching for their ball. The grass was long off a lot of the greens too.

Need a marshal on duty to speed up slow play. 2 hole gap in front of group ahead of us.
Beautiful Course
Great Carts, Great Greens, Fairways up to Par. Both courses are fun ,challenging and rememberable. Great place to better your game.
Blue Rock West March 2022
This course needs some work on the fairways and even more on the sand traps. Weather was perfect though.
Good bang for your buck
My buddy and I played the course over the weekend. It was my first time playing to course. We teed off around 1pm. My only complaint is there was no water on the course and at the turn the restaurant was not serving hot food after they assured me they would be.
