Always a solid course
Never a bad time playing this course. They recently aerated so the greens weren’t the best but still had a great round.

Solid course
I was skeptical about coming back to the east course, I generally haven't held it in the most positive memories... but we had a great round today. The course layout was refreshing since I hadn't played here in quite a while and I wasn't used to it. Unfortunately the greens are sandy after aerification so they weren't in the best condition for scoring and a number of tee boxes need leveling. Otherwise the course was in good shape and played well.

Sandy and Late Start
There were no carts available when we arrived and a backlog of 10 or so groups waiting for carts to come in from the morning rounds. We ended up teeing off about an hour past our scheduled time. The staff did a good job handling the situation though.
Greens had been aerated recently, which we knew about, but I've never seen so much sand on the greens post aeration. Greens were almost unplayable - really had to whack the putt get it to the hole.

Favorable review
Favorable review. This was my second time playing the course. I found the greens to be extremely challenging and personally I did not like them. But that could also mean that I just need to work on my putting more. The general condition of the course was great although there was no sand in the traps due to COVID-19. So we did not play traps for this round. My only concern was that we did not see a Marshall out on the course for the whole 5 1/2 hours it took us to play 18 holes. There were groups ahead of us that were very slow.

always good
Have played here many, many times. Both courses have always been in fair to very good condition. The only problem I ever encounter is an occasional dry area where one must hit off a hardpan lie, but that is rare, and hey, it's golf, play the shot. Presently I would say the course is in very good condition. The only problem today was that the course we very wet in spots. I suppose it was being watered well so as not to lose the grass in the heat. Otherwise it was a good day.

Getting back into the game
Course is very challenging although not very many water holes. Traps are pretty much hard packed sand. All in all fairways and greens in great shape. Good variety of very hard and some easier hole setups. . Played by myself. Easy to let other golfers play through as my conditioning needs work and I don’t currently play at my normal pace. Thumbs up!

September Blue Rock East
The sand traps were terrible. They were hard and little sand in them. Fairways had several brown spots. Greens were in fair condition.

The course is in good shape. Tee box, fairway and greens are in excellent condition. Sand traps can afford a little more sand though. The staffs (Matt) i and the manager( I believe his name is Blane) are instrumental in accommodating our celebration of our friend’s birthday. Thank you,!,! Thank you!,!!
