Price is right, bunkers are concrete
Pace of play was slow, because a two drunk foursomes combined to play an 8 some.
Marshall didn’t catch it until someone called the club house.

Love this East course and its layout. Tee boxes are healthy and cut, fairways set your ball high and wide enough for off the tee errors, greens are big with undulation but their speed will vary from green to green. BR uses color schemes for their pin placements (red=front, white=middle, blue=back). The challenge is the swirling winds. make safe choices to avoid blowups.
btw...keep your items hidden in your car. had an individual inspect my car looking for a reason to break in. this guy drives and older bmw suv. I wish the golf staff kept an eye out or hidden cameras. this wouldnt be the first break-in in this lot and definitely not the last since the golf staff and city wont do anything to prevent or even prosecute.

Nice course, challenging layout, hilly and can be windy
We played the East Course which is the better of the two there. Most holes are short with a couple of long ones. Par 3 are challenging but fun. Overall, great layout, but was very windy which made the course a little harder.

Use driver on each hole!
Love this East course and its layout. Decent track.
Decent layout and pretty well maintained for the money and the high volume of traffic. Weekends I expect a 5hr round. West is better for walkers, east is a better layout. Just one mans opinion.

real windy day made course play tougher than normal

A very nice round
To me Golf is a walk in the park with a beer and a friend.
The East Course of Blue Rock Springs. is very challenging to an honest 36 handicapper like me. But it was a fun day of golf. The pace of play great for my threesome was great, We finished in four hours. For us over 70's the holes that you cannot drive your cart on are a bit tiring. The COVID-19 rules makes socializing difficult and after golf we just go home. Parking at Blue Rock Springs is a real "up hill" task, especially if you have a late tee time and have to park at the top of the hill.

Bait and Switch
Similar to what another golfer wrote, got there and told at least a 30 minute wait, out of carts even though had pre-paid for one. Decided to walk rather than wait. Got to 5th hole, group ahead of us had 4 carts, one per golfer. One cart ran out of juice and they brought out another one for them. I asked why they couldn't bring us a cart too, even though I asked the starter to bring us one sometime during our round. When I finished, talked to a manger, at least he said he was, I think his name was Zack. He took my email and said he would make amends. I never heard from him. Look these are difficult times for us all, but don't make promises to get in touch with someone and ignore them. If you decide to play this course, go early like 6:00 a.m. otherwise they may not have a cart for you and make you wait who knows how long.

It's the first time I've had a chance to play the East course since the renewal of play after the COVIF-19 close down. Arrived in time to check in a was immediately assigned a cleaned cart for the round Even though the course was booked full, there was hardly any delays during the round and finished in 4 hours. Course was in good condition and look forward to playing again.

Pandemic golf
They did a great job handling the very enthusiastic and understanding crowd. The course was in good shape except for many of the traps, which they warned you about upfront. Single rider carts were provided ,, albeit you may have a slower than average turnaround on them but worth the wait! Everyone I spoke to was just so happy to get out!

Play There
I suspect most folks play Blue Rock West, which is a perfectly fine course, but the East course is prettier and a better challenge. Conditions are good from tee to green. Plenty of uphill and downhill shots and I flat greens, but spied is even so putting isn’t impossible.
Staff is friendly and well organised for safe and successful play under CoVid restrictions.

Corona Cancellation
I booked this round but got an email a hour and a half before stating that it had been cancelled due to the Virus and won't open until April 6th.
Thank you so much for leaving us with your feedback. We apologize that you weren't able to play your round with us and that you were notified with short notice. The orders and mandates have been changing a lot and with short notice, so we're doing our best to keep our golfers up to date as quickly as possible.
