East Course : nice, but needs a few improvements
This is one of the nicest public courses around. That said, a few things need attention:
1. Many, maybe all, of the bunkers have a considerable amount of gravel mixed in with the sand. Have someone sift the sand to remove the rocks...plz
2. Install more drinking water dispensers. There are not enough of them for a hot day.
3. Cart battery was very weak. Returned the cart and the battery of the second cart was also weak. We finished the course, but it was touch and go.
4. The cafe is one of the least nice around for a golf course and it closes too early.

Great outdoors
Very scenic golf course. lots of wild life all around you. Up and down slopes on every hole make it some what of a challenge. For the most part a pretty open course. I'll be back

Blue Rock ROCKS
I love BOTH the West and East courses. The East course is harder to walk on the steep uphill fairways. This was the very first course I learned to play golf on as a kid-with my dad so it also has a deep connection for me.

Staff With attitude
When I went into the pro shop to sign out a cart I was told I needed to pay for a second cart although I pre paid for 2 roounds with carts included. When I told the guy behind the counter that I wanted the two carts he asked me why I needed two cart with a bad attitude . After my explanation , he told me we needed to pay for a second cart although we had purchased the 2 rounds W/Carts . Of all my years of golf , this was hands down the worst customer service I have ever had at a golf course.

Course is in great shape!
Greens were exceptional. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Could use a little more sand in the bunkers, but so could most courses. Practice area is one of the best in NorCal.
Rumors abound that this track will be reduced to 18 holes from 36. It would be a real shame if this happens. All fans of the game should support this treasure.

Nice Course
This is a nice course for the money, especially for a public course. My only complaint is that there are not enough drinking water stations. There were maybe two or three for the whole course. There should be one for each 2 or 3 holes especially when it is hot. I had my own water 1 quart bottle, but still ran out before the next water station. The 'clubhouse' is dated and minimal.

Great course at a great price
This course is as good as it gets when it comes to value for your money. Came out from Sacramento and met some friends here from the Bay Area. This was my second time playing here, and we got a cart this time. I recommend it unless you're ready for a major workout.
