Greens are in poor condition
Greens are in very poor condition. Lots of dead spots and weeds making the putting surface slow and unpredictable. Many bunkers are covered in weeds and grass. Course layout is awesome but poorly maintained.
Greens full of weeds
Bunkers are just AWFUL
Putting no money in this course
Layout is nice
Very bad shape
The course is in very bad condition. I wouldn't pay more than $30.00 to play here. The greens are full of weeds. The bunkers are full of large over grown weeds. I doubt I will play there again. West Pines is much cheaper and in much better condition.
Great layout - need upkeep
Beautiful course, greens and bunkers need work. First tee time, 2 hour round. I’ll be back!
Not what it once was being semi private…
Played this course today. Very disappointed. This use to be a go to. Now, not so much. Fairways and tee boxes are fine. The greens and bunkers are really bad. The greens have weeds everywhere. The greens are also soft, any contact scuffs the surface. The bunkers are horrible. They shave let them go and no efforts to put sand, repair or anything. Not worth $69 before the twilight.. wish I had added pictures. Not worth the ride at this time./
Needs maintenance
I love the Frog but it needs 2 major things. First. The course needs a lot of maintenance. The greens needs to be sanded to eliminate the ball marks. Some of the bunkers look like a neglected back yard.
Second. The players need to fix their ball marks and put sand in their divots.
Great course
The Frog was well maintained and a great pace of play. This was my 3rd time and it doesn’t disappoint. I would highly recommend it to 10 HC or below.
Conditions are lacking
This is a fantastic layout but the conditions are awful. More knee and waist high weeds than sand in the bunkers. Greens rolled well except for all of the pitch marks.
Too expensive for experience
Bad greens, unmaiatained bunkers, great layout, a shame the money isn't going back into course maintenance.
Needs work
Sand traps need alot of work. The greens need work as well, putts are not rolling smooothly.
Great course but...
Great course, but sand traps are in need of a lot of work.
First time and enjoyed it
Played this track for the first time after a few recommendations and throughly enjoyed it. Was nervous heading into it after reading reviews but the course is in pretty good shape considering we’re in mid July Georgia weather. Yes bunkers could use some TLC but greens were too bad. Been playing on many other courses recently who have sand all over their greens. These green ran true and weren’t horrible.
This was the first time me and my 3 golfing buddies played here and we’ll be back for sure!
Disappointed
I had heard great things about this course and finally got out there to play. While the course design is excellent (like, really excellent, Mr. Fazio), the course is in terrible shape. Bunkers with weeds growing in them, greens that look like mine fields of ball marks, fairways that are hard as rocks.
Also, I played on a Monday and the course was almost empty - except for the foursome in front of us. I played with another gentleman and his mother and we waited several minutes on every shot. The group ahead of us finally let us through on the 16th freaking hole, far too late to salvage a 4:45 round. I played great which was nice, but I won't be back for a while since I can pay $20 less for a closer and much better maintained course.
