The Frog at the Georgian

We have played The Frog numerous times. When we played yesterday, the maintenance of the course was at a low point. The bunkers had not been maintained for weeks. The greens were marked by numerous unrepaired divots. And several of the tee boxes needed attention. We are not complainers, so we tried to make the most of the course because we love the layout. We look forward to playing the course again but will probably wait until course conditions improve.

Nice course. Driving range was closed due to machine needing a part. A little disappointed but had a good day.

I am not sure who is leaving a 5-star review for this course, but 5-stars could not be further from the truth.

First, the course is not in good shape. The fairways are nice, but other than that: bad. The greens are torn to shreds by ball marks, the rough is basically dirt, the tee boxes are some of the worst I've ever played. And the bunkers are truly a tragedy. It is an absolute disgrace that a Fazio course is being treated this way by whoever owns the place. The round being $80 with tax is probably as ripped off as I have been in a while. This was no better/worse than a $30 municipal course.

Additionally, the staff was the singular worst golf staff I have met while playing this game for 20+ years. There were no range balls when we showed up (at 1:00pm on a saturday, mind you). I was hounded and rushed by the marshal on the 9th fairway, despite being 1:50 into my round. When I went to the clubhouse to verify that I was not behind pace, the pro shop staff seemed as if they'd rather get into a physical altercation with me rather than help solve my issue. On the 10th hole, the marshal again (literally) yelled at us for complaining to the golf staff. I am typically not one to complain, but I have never, ever seen a golf staff so poor at their jobs. Every single person I interacted with on this golf course was rude and unprofessional. Its actually an accomplishment that the management has managed to assemble a staff so incompetent; it would be hard to find folks more incompetent if you were trying.

I have never written a negative review of a golf course until now. If you value your time and money, you won't play here. They ruined our day - don't let them ruin yours.

If I had any complaints it would be on some of the bunkers need to be taken care of better. Other than that, amazing course!!

Even with rainy, drizzly, and windy conditions the course was in very good shape with very little standing water. The greens were rolling good and true.i look forward to playing it again very soon.

This is probably one of the nicer public tracks I've played in the Atlanta area. Excellent condition with the greens as perfect as can be for a twilight round; great value on a Hotdeal. But there are some very preventable issues that hold this place back from being worth the drive again.

Starter is a nice guy but sending out a single behind a twosome behind foursomes is baffling, especially with a twosome waiting on 1 tee while the single teed off. Not a single ranger anywhere either- add those up and throw in some Sunday hackers hitting multiple tee shots and you get a 5 hour round.

The pace wouldn't have felt as excruciating on a 90+ degree day if there had been water in ANY of the coolers that were conveniently placed on every other tee. Beverage cart came off 9 green as I was teeing off (3:50) and I never saw her again, so there weren't any options to stay hydrated nor was there any warning that this would be the case.

This course has the goods to be a destination public track. The superintendent clearly knows what they're doing. Golf staff needs to work a few things out.
