The Frog at the Georgian

This used to be a beautiful course. Its very sad to see it’s conditions!!! Sad that i will never go back.

Please finish the course for the prices you charge. Those sand traps are horrible and a massive eyesore.

I read all the reviews and was really excited to play this course. For starters the tee boxes were in terrible condition. The sand traps were nothing but weeds. The greens were in rough shape as well but will give them the chance that they were aerated recently. Not what I was expecting given all the reviews. Would not go back after that.

Great layout, course is in outstanding shape, the greens would be too if folks could just fix the ball marks. Still missing sand in some bunkers.

Course is in good shape but pace of play was horrible, multiple times during the round we had 3 to 4 different groups waiting to tee off and the course wasn’t that crowded

Definitely one of the most enjoyable public course designs i’ve played in metro Atlanta. Fairways and rough areas decently maintained. Most bunkers (they have lots of them) are unplayable…grass growing in them, more dirt than sand,etc.

Not sure why, but the course was soaked. Fairways, around greens, everywhere. It was 95 degrees and we had very little rain prior to the round. Wonderful and challenging layout, but quite difficult when wet everywhere.

The Frog has had a reputation as one of Georgia’s finest golf experiences. It no longer is. The bunkers are not maintained, and in general the course is not nearly as aesthetically appealing as it used to be. Meanwhile, the price has not gone down. We experienced slow play on the entire front nine, but we bypassed the clubhouse at the turn and was able to jump ahead of the group that was ahead of us .

The clubhouse and pro shop personnel are still top notch. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and customer service oriented.

I love this course when it was maintained, but it’s not the same upscale, manicured golf course it used to be.

My wife and I came down from Olive Branch, MS to play the Frog for the third time. Our last visit was last summer 2023. I am not sure what took place to put this golf course/club in such bad shape. The course was nothing like what we played the last two times. All aspects, Greens, Fairways, Traps were all declined. The pace of play was slow. The pro-shop had no where the inventory from the past. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carts were used.

We are not sure what happended to the club and course. I read that it is owened by Bobby Jones Links, it this recent?

No food on a Sunday? Amenities and customer service seems to always be a question at this place. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a beverage cart on the course. Course is fine. A bit expensive for the total package of everything. Middle of the pack golf course that needs food and better service.

First time playing. Neat layout. Greens were in great condition.

Greens roll nice and are in great shape. Fairways need a little work but well worth the cost. Super fun track and staff is very friendly. Marshall regularly making rounds and ensuring good pace of play. Cart girl hit us up at least 4 times during the round.

I feel like the previous reviews are a little harsh. This is a great course and with new ownership you can tell they are investing!

Fairways were in decent condition, greens ok. Bunkers were all overtaken by vegetation.

Geez played this course 6-7 years ago routinely when I worked in the area, drove back out and man how far it has fallen and price has about doubled to boot. Hot deal was still just over $70 with fees and this is a $40 course on its best day, the course has a great layout but it seems that they have stopped upkeep other than mowing.. such a shame will take a lot of time and money to bring it back to what it once was.. saddening to say definitely won’t be making the drive again ..

I played The Frog often in the aughts. It was a far drive from Atlanta but worth it. I hadn't played the course in about 15 years and was really disappointed. All the fairway bunkers have no sand and are just barren wastelands that should be played as unplayable conditions. The tee grounds are in awful condition. The greens were in decent condition. The driving range was closed for some reason. The hamburger and house chips were very good.
