Wellen Park Golf & Country Club

The staff was very rude. They treated it like a resort course apartments right on top of the golf course, which detracts from the overall feel. Pace play was absolutely insane. You would think with all the staff members they would have a ranger, but they did not which is absolutely insane as well and no cart girl. I thought 1130 on a Tuesday would be a good time to play, but it was absolutely insane waiting the entire round every single shot will never be back.

I will play this course again. Staff friendly and the course was well kept. The greens are a work in progress - very slow.

Highly recommend. The greens are still very firm but roll great. Off course amenities will be much better when remaining facilities construction is completed. Super friendly staff.

The beverage cart gal is very energetic.

The new Pro shop is open and all the staff are excellent, from the cart crew to the welcoming front desk. The course is always in great shape without tight lies. The greens are fast and cut right.

Nice course layout, with 5 tee box options for yardage. Recently aerated greens but very playable. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Rate reasonable with GolfNow

Wellen Park is a classic SW Florida Lennar layout. Tight fairways that promote sensible play or risk reward targets. Unlike three other Lennar developments in the area (Sarasota National, Lakewood National and River Strand) the course is not as picturesque with condos right adjacent to several holes. As long as your swing is on this is a fun course to play.

I'm just tired of GolfNow and golf courses selling you slots without telling customers their course is under maintenance. I understand that the work needs doing, it's just that these places should tell you before you book so you can decide to play there or not. I'm looking forward to play it and my ball can't stop on the green there's so much sand. It should be my decision not theirs if I play there. Misleading and it's crap!

Nice to see the Pro Shop was up and running with great personal services. The course was in great shape, the greens were dimply from a recent aeration, but didn’t seem to hurt. It was baking hot but we all had a good steady round!

Have played the course many times. Have to be able to hit some golf shots around some corners, but it was in great shape, pro shop staff and starter was great. Went late in the day, flew through the round.

Wellen Park is a new. course in a giant housing development. Clearly being new allows for a lot of growth as the holes are designed nicely and very interesting. Soft doglegs short but testy par 4s.

Wellen will be a 9 out of 10 in maybe two years. But you can enjoy it now

Wellen Park is a new course and suffering some growing pains. Staff is great. The design is terrific in that it's not your usual FL cookie cutter course. Nice doglegs, interesting holes. Good use of the land. I enjoyed it.

Wellen is one of Ower favorites places. The greens and fairways were punched recently

The pro shop moved that day bag drop also moved no signs which lead to confusion on arrival the G P S wasn't turned on which caused more confusion all these problems will be fixed and Wellen will be an excellent place to enjoy

This course is relatively new. There is still a lot of construction going on, but in excellent condition. This is one course that offers free range balls. I wish that all courses did this.
