The course was in good shape.

Pace of play was not good. We were a 3 some, behind a 4 some, who on the third hole- the third hole spent at least five minutes with the cart girl,as we observed and waited from the tee box.

When the cart girl approached us I suggested she become a Ranger And tell the 4 some to play golf.

The rest of the day we waited way too often,

Our 4 hour 15 minute round would have been 3.45 max..

Excellent practice area,, Complimentary balls on the range , water stations on the course is appreciated.

GPS in the carts..

Starter wasn’t on top of his game so must be new at the job or not a golfer. Near tee time couldn’t be found and didn’t pair group up so went to tee on own and waited for rest of group. Starter finally showed up at tee box. Worst and most ridiculous thing was he came rushing down to first green and told us we needed to speed up as we were a couple minutes behind. That after group had hit a ball into us while we were on the green. He don’t know what time we teed off so he had no way of knowing if we were behind and we weren’t. Ridiculous to be told you’re behind on first green. We never saw a marshal for entire round and in spite of waiting on most holes we finished round in 4 hours so we weren’t slow players. Action of starter left a negative impression of the course and a bad feeling for our group and negatively impacted what could have been a much better day. Starter needs better training or to be replaced.

The course is really a fair layout. The greens were really fast but a little dried out. I would suggest this course for sure. Guys at the bag drop weren’t the friendliest but I’m finding that this is true at many courses. Maybe they aren’t retired yet? :)

Played here last year when the course was fairly new and it’s only gotten better. Great practice area, and the course is in great shape. The layout is fun with a few crazy dog legs. Pro shop and clubhouse are still being built, so strictly golf as of now. I will play this course every time I am in the area.

Very windy, but nice temps and sunny. We waited on each hole, but overall pace was not bad - completed in less than 4 hours. Lots of doglegs

Price was wright. 4 hrs. for 18/ holes Very windy good time by all.

The first time I played this track I was one of the first thousand people to play. At that time everything was phenomenal. Now I’ve seen municipal golf courses that were in better condition. Three different types of grass on the Teebox. Bare spots on the greens For this course Could be what it actually is disappointment. Be a while before I go back.

What can I say about almost perfection. Wellen Park is always a challenge. The greens roll fast and true. The fairways are green and your balls is usually in a great lie. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer your questions if it’s your first time playing the course. Yes it’s surrounded by construction but I don’t typically play in the construction areas. From Kristina the teaching pro to Kelly the cart attendant this is the place to play. We will be returning all summer for sure.

On the There was 2 or3 groups on every tee box. Second nine the group in front of us had a hole open. Could only finish 16 holes before it was too dark. If they charge for 18 Wellen should have rangers to maintain a good pace of play.
