Clermont National
I booked 8 players for my birthday weekend. This was the first time any of us had played the course. We understood that the course just reopened last November after renovations and ownership changes. We truly enjoyed the course and it was very challenging and all of us! We will definitely be playing again! We did lunch at the quick service area across from the club house and it was great as well!
Nice Course
This is the first time I have played this course since it has been re-done. There is a "real" driving range with tables to sit, The course layout is the same. But in much better condition. They have added an outdoor area that was being used for 3 different events. There is a nice full bar, Not a full service restaurant but good food for counter service,
Great value for your money
Great golf course but challenging. Be prepared to climb hills, thick rough and deep sand. Nevertheless it’s in good condition. Greens roll well but they are on the slow side. Marshals attentive to the pace of place.I will play it back in a heartbeat. Great bar, good food and they even had live music playing. Driving range Drive Shack style and family friendly. Pleasantly surprised and good value for your money.
Worth the drive
Clermont National was total different from what I'm used to in Tampa. I enjoyed the contour of the fairways. The greens rolled true and smooth. I got a deal using Golf Now. Will be going back
Beautiful Course
After reading many of the reviews I decided to make the hour-plus drive and spend a little more money than usual. I'm very happy I did! From the moment I arrived the staff were fantastic, looking for ways to make my round a good one. The course was in immaculate condition from tee to green. The speed of the greens were consistent and rolled true. The changes in elevation made the course very challenging. Having a map on the scorecard would help with the blind shots for golfers not familiar with the course. Great job by all the staff.
Great Time
Course is better than I've ever played it. It's changed ownership at least 3 times and even shut down at one point. Never been in this good of shape and the off course amenities are best in the area
Course is Alive and Well
Used to play this course when it was Diamond players club then it went down hill and became sanctuary ridge . Stopped playing here because course was just trash. I’ve watched the renovation of this course the last few years and decided I would give it a try and I am glad I did. The course is beautiful, greens are great and the layout is tough but fun. This course will challenge you every step of the way but you don’t get hills like this in Florida.
“Better than MOST !”
I enjoyed a good round of golf here today. Had a good experience from bag drop off —> 19th hole. I’ve been playing this property since Diamond Players’ days. A local golfer Can certainly see / appreciate the changes and effort that was made renovating this course into the jewel it is today. I can’t wait to get OUT of this current disastrous “economy” so their overhead expenses can be reduced. Hopefully resulting in a more affordable green fee. But going forward, before I go book an Orlando resort course, I’ll just make Clermont National my destination. I definitely recommend you play Clermont National, disregard any previous negative posts!! These players just need to NOT leave their Country Club.
Impressed
I normally read many golf court reviews to decide on the course I am going to play for the first time. Most of the time I am disappointed. Except on this day, not only were the comments right on but we loved the course, layout and the challenging holes. The course was in great condition, the greens were fast and if you were too aggressive and missed the target you were penalized. Play the course smart and you will score well.
Very slow round
The course is in great condition for the money. Pace of play was extremely slow, due to a group of 16.
Great condition with fair layout. As a senior should have moved up from white tees. A little bit of a challenge.
Greens and fairways were excellent.
Would put more than 5 stars if I could
Course is in excellent condition and it’s very unique compared to every course in the area.. tons of elevation change. Very cool course, can’t recommend enough
Course is TERRIBLE! Dont waste your money.
I went here for my birthday, they said they spent couple million for the course and it sure dont look like it. Tee boxes are a nightmare, fairways are terrible, greens are also terrible. Only thing good about the course is the layout. There was couple holes that was very nice to look at, also some elevation which was fun but the conditions were just so bad. No maintenance whatsoever. They need to fire the guys who maintain the course and hire some actual people who know what theyre doing. Cost me close to 100 bucks for a way below average course.
Hilly
Rare hilly course in Florida. Need a cart. Tough tonknow distance.
My new favorite central Florida course
The elevation changes, routing, and some blind shots make this course a blast to play. The conditions for the middle of August were better than expected. I played in the afternoon and was literally the only one on the course. A magical place and I will certainly make this a regular spot.
