Peacock Gap Golf Club
About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

True rolling greens
Great course for a quick, morning round. Shot my best round ever that day. Pace of play was great until a slight slowdown on the back because of a single that jumped out in front of us. Otherwise, great staff and a good value. Would definitely play again.
Great place to play when it’s scorching hot in the Bay Area
Course was a bit windy, but the day we played weather in the Bay Area was very, very hot so we didn’t mind the cooler breeze. Greens are well maintained.
A little slow play
Greens in good shape, but need care to prevent eminent damage.
Good day on the course
The weather was great with a little breeze. Pace of play was good greens were rolling true
Watch out for mosquitos!
We got bitten pretty bad on Mother’s Day May 9. The mosquitoes were out in full force.
Also cart no. 16 was useless. It would barely budge.
Make sure to bring mosquito repellent if your tee time is in the afternoon.
Peacock Gap Practice Facility
This is the best practice facility in the Bay Area, better than TCP Harding (Harding has laid down fake grass and it costs a small fortune to practice).
Peacock has consistent course conditions and I really appreciate the nice pace of play; I usually can get in 18 under 4 1/2 hours.
Very happy w the facility and staff!
No Carts and Course is Drying (firm)
Played 4/28/21 and when we checked in were told that there's no carts and there's a sign stating carts on first come first serve basis. We told me the starter cart was included with the hot deal and after a while he went and got it Bring your push cart just in case.
Good Round
Course was challenging. with many interesting par 3s. Weather was beautiful and the workers , starters were very nice
Terrible etiquette by maintenance
On hole 3, maintenance mowing green for over 10 mins and wouldn't stop. Same guy then mowing teebox on 4 while we tried to tee off, left his mower on whites with motor running while we were on blues. Same hole he's mowing green while we are waiting to hit approach shots, oblivious.
