Peacock Gap Golf Club
About
Peacock Gap Golf Club extends along the shores of San Pablo Bay, but it sits inland enough to avoid the fogginess of the coast and enjoy consistently sunny weather throughout the year. The course's layout has undergone many renovations over the years that have brought it to its current playability, including a new drainage system, new tee boxes, a reshaping of five of the greens, and relocation of bunkers. The golf course kept the classic features of its original layout though, such as the inviting fairways that still provide a challenge and the tricky greens that deceptively extend past where the player thinks they end. In addition to the course, Peacock Gap has also improved their practice facilities over the years. There is an all-grass driving range, two large practice greens, and a chipping green.

No Carts and Course is Drying (firm)
Played 4/28/21 and when we checked in were told that there's no carts and there's a sign stating carts on first come first serve basis. We told me the starter cart was included with the hot deal and after a while he went and got it Bring your push cart just in case.
Good Round
Course was challenging. with many interesting par 3s. Weather was beautiful and the workers , starters were very nice
Terrible etiquette by maintenance
On hole 3, maintenance mowing green for over 10 mins and wouldn't stop. Same guy then mowing teebox on 4 while we tried to tee off, left his mower on whites with motor running while we were on blues. Same hole he's mowing green while we are waiting to hit approach shots, oblivious.
Fun Day at Peacock Gap
Pin placements were very difficult on most holes with pins tucked behind bunkers often and on edges and peeks or slopes. On the other hand the greens were in very good condition and fairly fast. Fairways were cut to a good playing length, but there were many places on the fairways where grass was non existent. Anything off the fairway was hardly playable. There are generally large landing areas and although there was water on the water never really came into play except the final par three where the hole is a total carry over water to the green. I'd recommend Peacock gap as a fun outing for most levels of golfers.
Golf Pro jumped ahead of us
i was playing at 2pm on a sunday on the 15th hole when I saw 3 intruders scurry onto the hole ahead of us. Wedging themselves between the group that was ahead of us all day on a already busy day
We had to wait for them to clear the green on par 3 and then I worried about them in our future from then on.
Turns out it was the pro, seems like a a gross error to make paying customer wait for whatever he was doing.
I never did get an answer from either the head pro or the GM when I made a complaint. Maybe a week isn't long enough to respond
They won't tell you the greens have been sanded or punched
I chose to play at Peacock Gap today because there were aerification alerts for a couple of courses in Napa.
I learned the hard way that the greens at Peacock had just been sanded...
Good Day at the course
Great day at the course! weather was perfect. The pace of play was good we finished in 4 hours.
greens have been sanded so a little slow.
Get the off-course basics right
No coffee before you tee off. Or on the turn. Cart girl hit groups on 4,5,6 while we were on 13. She came to us on 18 tee box while we were starving and thirsty. This is too basic.
Pace of Play
Despite having a mid morning tee time, we we’re able to finish under 4 1/2 hrs...
Aerated greens (sandy greens)
Upset that Golfnow didn’t let me know that greens were aerated.. very disappointed. $60 to putt on sand wasn’t fun.
