not worth what you save on price
course needs plenty of work traps a disaster cart paths were bad and need repair no signs to direct u . 5somes and 6 somes allowed on course .greens in good shape would not recommend course even for hot rate that we got. no grass on course
Tough course for low price
Tough course for low price. Not great conditions are to be expected at the beginning of march. But greens roll true. I almost played it 2 days in a row.
Cheap, but decent
My friend and I decided the best way to describe the course was: "What do you expect for 20 bucks?".
The greens are in pretty rough shape. The fairways are basically pastures with short grass. Most of the bunkers are a mixture of hard sand and clay.
The course layout is pretty tough. A lot of tight fairways.
I wouldn't play it again, but if you're looking for a quick cheap round, it's worth a shot.
this course has recommendable.
this course has recommendable.
this course nas not good drain water in the fairway.
Keep A Look-out
The course was pretty well maintained. However, I was terrified playing the course. I had been informed from a previous play a few days earlier that there were two wild and vicious pit bulls that have been trying to attack players. The previous day we played and informed staff at the facility he laughed it off, but we were told by staff yesterday that they would call animal control. Difficult to enjoy looking over my shoulder constantly.
Issue with greens
The greens are mostly covered with dollar spots. Knock it close or be prepared for a tough putting day. With the recent change in management, I'm sure they will get it corrected.
Good value close to the city
Got a winter round in for a good price. Course is close to the city and right off I-285.
Tight fairways will test driving ability. Lots of dogleg holes going both ways. Fairly hard to lose balls, not much water on course. Greens could use some work, but it's winter so a little leeway there. Looks like new management is taking over now. Should only improve.
Great course for the price
This is a pretty decent course that has some challenging holes with some holes that will make you smile.
thanks burell ellis
da creek is rolling true on the greens, fairway, rough, deep rough and range again thanks to the work of T- payne, sizzurp and all that co. cash. Stop on 9 to savor the view, you'll feel better.
Okay course
This course is in okay shape. Some of the greens have dead spots on them and that makes things tough to read your putting for par! This course is still very playable, it's just not one of the good courses that I would invite friends to come play.
The course is tight
This course is great for those holders that have good control of their ball flight.
Price was $11! Course Needs attention. WHY are these courses around the city are not in good shape! You get what you PAY for!!

It is narrow and challenging to the weekend golfer. Greens are in good shape. You have to stay either in or close to the fairways.
Sugar Creek is a public golf course. It has been and will probably always be hard to maintain.
Great place to test your ability.
I like playing this course because it will test all parts of the game.
Slow Play
The course was backed up on the #1 tee box but yet you could see no one was on the 10th tee box. We asked about starting on the back nine and was answered rather harshly with no. So two groups later we teed off with two groups standing behind us to tee off. Another issue they have is letting people walk on weekends. I enjoy walking myself but on weekends it really slows play to a crawl. And finally the golf Marshall driving around checking on the speed of play and saying nothing to anyone to pick up the speed. Summary: Front tee off only, speed of play and walking is why it took 5 hours for 18 and I wont return.
Not a bad overall course
I have played Sugar Creek numerous times, and the value has always been very good. The course has some challenging holes, and some that are relatively easy. Not a far trip from where i live, and that is always a plus as well. Aside from the aeration of the greens, and the sanding, the course played very well.9
in a word "awful"
Greens were aerated and I knew that, but that does not explain the weeds and inconsistencies of the aeration process. Most aeration is done in a pattern; this aeration appeared to have been accomplished with a mini gun or other high tech assault weapon. There are also tee box, fairways and rough issues that I will not go into. I do not recommend playing the course nor do I plan to return any time soon. The good thing is I only spent $12.50 through Golf Now to play it. I will admit that the staff at this facility was great and they do a good job with pace of play, clubhouse, range, starter, etc...
Excellent value for the money.
Friendly staff made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Can't beat the cost.
This club has great character and I expect great things in the future.
The course was maintained but had high rough in certain areas. The only other issue was drainage on a few holes near the greens. This course has the potential to be one of the nicer courses south of the city. With a new club house and the friendliness of the staff, I expect great things in the future.
On The Upswing!
This course has improved a lot since i was here last, which was approximately 3 months ago. The greens, in particular, have made vast improvements. What used to be pockmarked and beat up is now looking much much better. The greens surprisingly had very few ball marks and were in very good condition. However, the rough was very long, making it difficult to find any errant shots. Overall this course is in good shape, is an excellent value, and much nicer than when i played it 3 months ago.
