Wow!!
Awesome! First class! Greens had been recently punched but a week later (today) they rolled perfect! This course was challenging but in superb shape! One, if not, the best course around! I will be back! If you haven’t played...it’s a must!
Love this course!!!
I’m totally in love with this course. I love Robert Trent Jones and Jr courses. I like the way the course looks and it’s in great condition. To me, it’s one of the best deals in north Ga. I drive an hour and a half to get here but, it’s definitely worth it. Great staff, clubhouse, practice facilities and carts. If you haven’t played this course, don’t think about it, just do it.
Great course.
Great couse. Enjoyed the day at Woodmont. Pro shop and others at course first class. No nickel and diming! Great operation!
End of summer round
Enjoyed the course. Marshal was super friendly and informative. No beer cart on a Saturday, which was weird. . Finished in 4 hours.
Woodmont always delivers!
Had not been in 3 years, but Woodmont us still as good as it gets in the Atlanta area. We arrived and a young gentleman brough the cary to us in the parking lot, and washed our clubs for us while we checked in. The course wss in pristine condition. Great tees, lush fairways and receptive greens that rolled true. Staff was great. They gsve us a cooler of ice at the grill, and a marshall came around during front 9 and gave us towels dunked on cold water. Very refreshing and a nice touch. Only complaint was other golfers coming up behind us. We were a twosome, played front 9 in 1 hour 40 minutes. But groups were behind us, as they had no clue how to properly space out. We took a 15 minute break at the turn to let the 2 groups (twosome and single) get ahead of us. Let another single play through at 12, another at 13. Maybe they could have put the singles together, but golfers playing this nice of a course, should know how to space out properly instead of running up our backs when we were playing ahead of pace. But for my money, Woodmont remains one of the best around! Will be back soon!
Loved it
Great course, in great condition. Challenging and yet forgiving course. Lots of fun had by all. Great value for money
Great course and staff
This is the first time I played Woodmont but I can guarantee it will not be the last. My positive experience started within minutes of pulling into the parking lot. A very friendly staff member drove by with some clubs and told me he would be right back to get me. I got better with the course. It was in fantastic condition.
I highly recommend.
Beautiful and challenging Robert Trent Jones Course
While I am a senior I chose to play the blues. I hit ball on average 230 which makes course a little long from blues. There are several other tee box lengths which is good.
Course has bent green and while a number had been top dressed I believe with light sand, greens were true and overall good. The layout is typical Jones with plenty of challenging holes (sand and water and lateral hazards) in midst of a beautiful design with slopes and short sides and other challenges. I generally do not recommend course for high handicaper as I think one will feel “pretty beaten up” by course. As usual course knowledge goes a long way, for instance last par 3 on back I believe 14 or 15 I hooked slightly to just left of green and ended up 8 feet. Hill on left side very friendly while nothing good on right. Also I believe 17 over water on tee shot slight dogleg to right where 2nd shot over water. A little long is fine but short not good. A little long and ball comes back on green.
Enjoyed the course and playing partner. Will probably play white tees next time.
Best wishes.
Woodmont Review
We were rained out on this date, but we play this course often. The course currently is in very good shape and is challenging for most players. Would recommend it pretty highly to anyone.
Great course
I’ve played this course for years and really enjoy the layout. It is always challenging and pace of play is good.
Excellent course
This became my favorite course - the condition of the course from tee to green was excellent - a great value for the money if you prefer a quality course
Woodmont is always a great choice.
You can never go wrong with Woodmont. They only punch the greens two times a year so they are always rolling true and fast. Course is well-maintained, staff is friendly, and it’s reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a great track in the area Woodmont is always a good choice.
Memorial Day Weekend
Great Course. Always enjoy my round at Woodmont. I would play here more if it was more affordable. I can get almost the same difficulty and green keep at courses down the street for much less money. Overall, it is a great course. Definitely somewhere to play if you want to mix it up and get the private course feel.
The course was in very good condition
We play this course often. The condition of the course was very good. The weather was perfect and the amount of players was very light. Pace of play was a little slow exceeding four and one half hours. All given, we would give this course a very high recommendation.
This course is a beast
Coming into Saturday I was riding a golf high and Woodmont reminded me why golf is a beautiful game. This course is challenging and requires you to hit shots with every club in your bag. I hit a fade and this course was not condusive to that at all and will play much better for those who hit a draw. Great clubhouse and range, super friendly staff and we teed off right on time on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely recommend this course but if you’re playing from the blues you better bring your A game.
Solid course
Very nice golf here. Just a little shy of resort quality, but very nice course.
