Woodmont is always a great choice.
You can never go wrong with Woodmont. They only punch the greens two times a year so they are always rolling true and fast. Course is well-maintained, staff is friendly, and it’s reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a great track in the area Woodmont is always a good choice.
Memorial Day Weekend
Great Course. Always enjoy my round at Woodmont. I would play here more if it was more affordable. I can get almost the same difficulty and green keep at courses down the street for much less money. Overall, it is a great course. Definitely somewhere to play if you want to mix it up and get the private course feel.
The course was in very good condition
We play this course often. The condition of the course was very good. The weather was perfect and the amount of players was very light. Pace of play was a little slow exceeding four and one half hours. All given, we would give this course a very high recommendation.
This course is a beast
Coming into Saturday I was riding a golf high and Woodmont reminded me why golf is a beautiful game. This course is challenging and requires you to hit shots with every club in your bag. I hit a fade and this course was not condusive to that at all and will play much better for those who hit a draw. Great clubhouse and range, super friendly staff and we teed off right on time on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely recommend this course but if you’re playing from the blues you better bring your A game.
Solid course
Very nice golf here. Just a little shy of resort quality, but very nice course.
Woodmont is a 10
First time playing Woodmont. As soon as we got out of the car a Marshall approached and said he would have us a cart in just a minute. 30 seconds later he brought a cart to the back of our vehicle. We told him it was our first time to play the course and he welcomed us a gave the low down on everything. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The course was in excellent condition early spring. We completed the round in 4 hours, 45 minutes. For a Saturday afternoon that is awesome for a foursome that has never played the course. The final three holes have some Augusta National likeness. The course is not demanding off the tee,but is demanding on your approach shot to the greens. The greens rolled true. A little slow for bentgrass but no grain like Bermuda and no clumps like poa annual. The Marshalls were friendly but kept things moving. Can't wait to play it again.
Greens are punched don’t waste your money.
I was highly irritated to find the greens punched. Neither of the practice putting greens were punched and there was no notification when booking my tee time. It wasn’t worth the discounted rate I paid. They are at least 3 weeks from being heeled. I can’t believe they are holding a mid AM qualifier on Monday 4/9 with such poor greens.
Outstanding Experience
I can’t speak highly enough of this course. Every single aspect of the club operations is superb. If I lived closer to the course I would sign up for a membership yesterday. I happily recommend this course and club to anyone.
Decent
Have played several times and the three times I’ve gotten out there this year it’s been cartpath only. Pace of play is pretty slow on the weekends and with how poorly the course drains there is a ton of wet and muddy areas, even when it hadn’t rained in 48 hours. Course has a great layout, but I’d recommend waiting until the summer to go back
A favorite
Greens where rolling well and the course wasn't as wet as I thought. Pace of play wasn't to bad considering there was a tournament that morning. Look forward to getting back soon.
Fun course to play.
It’s a little early in the season so the fairways are still brown and a bit thin, but the tea boxes and greens are in great shape.
Always enjoyable
It was cold and has been cold and wet for the last couple weeks but the course was in great shape. I love this course and the facilities. The layout is challenging but fair with great use of elevation changes.
My only complaint is being pestered by the cart attendant from the moment I pull in the parking lot. It is quite offputting.
As usual, great experience! Best semi-private course in the county!
Great course, but the available tee times were afternoon by golfnow
It's great course but only afternoon time is available to golfnow member players.
But they may have enough players out there.
Bring your leaf blower
The course and staff are great. Very helpful and friendly. Big shout out to " Tony" who loads your bags into the carts.
Now the leaves on the course and greens are another story. Bring extra balls because you won't find yours among the leaves. Makes putting challenging also. It was great weather and we had a good time despite the leaves.
Great course
Extremely nice course, wide-open Fairways for the most part. Fairway grasses thick, course is well-maintained., The greens had been aerated about two weeks before we played but even with the sand on the greens they putted fairly. Playing here again tomorrow and looking forward to it.
