Woodmont Golf & Country Club

Extremely nice course, wide-open Fairways for the most part. Fairway grasses thick, course is well-maintained., The greens had been aerated about two weeks before we played but even with the sand on the greens they putted fairly. Playing here again tomorrow and looking forward to it.

Although most everything else was fine, you should be notified that you will be playing behind a senior outing. The Foursome ahead of us were so informed they drove there car up to the green almost on it at times. I hope I can play when I am that age, but today, I think an acknowledgement by the course would be nice and then I can decide to play and not leave after 12 holes like I did.

Great time to check out the course. Punched greens from a couple weeks back are rolling fairly well. $40 green fee was a very good value.

I enjoyed the course, the practice area and the staff, but I was particularly impressed with the golfers I was paired with the two times I played.

Unlike most golf courses where the public is invited to play, the golfers I encountered at Woodmont were "country club caliber" golfers who had both the game and the golf etiquette I would expect to see at a Country Club.

Woodmont is a great course I would highly recommend

This course is comparable to the better public access courses located in the North Atlanta suburbs. It could have been just me but I found the tee boxes tough to understand on a few of the holes. Like I said that could have just been me. There wasn't any beverage cart service on an early Saturday afternoon and the grille located at the turn appeared to be unmanned. All of the staff members that I encountered were friendly. Overall a pleasant experience and I certainly would recommend this course to play and if interested in a club membership this facility would deserve consideration. Thank you.

This is a great course with great facilities and a fun layout. The greens were in great shape with the cooler weather we've had recently. The fairways were lush and the rough is thick but well maintained. I really don't have anything bad to say about the course. The only negative I can draw from Woodmont is the cart attendant not so subtly begging for tips. I get it you work for tips and I have no problem tipping you but it should remain unspoken that you are working for tips. It's an offputting first impression of a course to be accosted for tips by the cart attendant.

I have been playing this course for more than 20 years. I recommend Woodmont to all my golfing friends.

This course is always in good shape. I will say that I have never seen so many unattended ball marks! its a shame that people don't take of the course when others put in such hard work to have great greens.

Enjoyable relaxing course with a good mix of challenging and easy holes. Slight elevation changes would make the course an enjoyable walking round. The fairways are the best in the North GA area. The ball almost sits like it's on a tee. The greens could make this course 5 stars, but I believe they are recovering from aeration as the grounds crew were out the entire round syringing the greens. The rough was thick and healthy, but not unmanageable. The range was just average in respect to turf. The staff was very friendly from the pro shop to starter to roving ambassador. Woodmont is a class course.

Let me start by saying I LOVE this course. I've played many times and have had a great experiences. Great course, and usually a friendly staff. However the last 2 times they rushed us although we were not behind schedule. Both times were similar in that we started with a big gap in front (foursomes canceled). At the 7th hole we were told we were behind and needed to catch up. No one was pushing us from behind. But we finished the turn in 2 hours -- right on time. And finished the round in 4 hours - 15 minutes ahead of schedule. I don't know if the members are putting pressure on them, but I did not feel so welcome. And I'm all for moving along quickly, but we should not be rushed unnecessarily.

Slightly cooler day for Aug. Course is in great shape.

It has mostly open fairways if you don't slice. The greens rolled really true. Multiple sets of tees so pick the right one for you. The design of the course is the best in north Georgia.

The carts have the best seats ever.

Course was in good shape for this late in the summer and pace of play was good especially for the weekend. One of the best values out there and I will definitely be back soon.

This course is fun, challenging, and above all in unbelievable condition! The greens keepers / maintenance staff do an amazing job. The greens were spectacular along with the fairways. I would recommend this course to any skill level golfer since they offer a wide variety of tees to play from. The pace was pretty good for a busy Friday, we played in a little over 4 hours. Come play this gem while you still can as they are going fully private soon.

I love this course. Very challenging and well laid out.

I'm from out of town and was in Atlanta for a weekend when I played this course. I played on a very wet day and the course was still magnificent! Greens still rolled well and the course was actually in great shape after a hard rain. No one was on the course, so pace of play was obviously not an issue. I loved the course layout, with a few holes being especially beautiful. On top of that, the clubhouse was immaculate. Definitely had an upscale country club feel to it, and honestly, I'm surprised this course is still public. Hopefully it stays that way so that guys like myself can get out there and enjoy it when passing through.
