Beautiful views and fair course
Front nine greens aerated recently and much different than back nine. Course has narrow fairways and thick rough which is tough to navigate. Overall great views and good course. Disappointed no Coke products although Coke machines on site.
Good Golf Experience
Course layout is fair; a few boring back & forth holes. Greens & fairways in good shape, tee boxes fair and sand is so-so. Not a "pretty" course, but OK. Staff is friendly. We will play here again.
Enjoyed the golf!
My first time playing Apple Mountain. Had heard good things about it which were true. Course was in good shape. Challenging tee shots on some holes, including long shots from the red tees on some par 3's. Staff was very courteous. Marshall on the course was funny!
Ready to go again!
It was a great experience. First time player - novice level so it was challenging for me. Mostly the layout - hills and slopes.
Will definitely play again!
Pleasant Experience
Apple Mountain is in excellent condition. Fairways are fair and rough rough. Greens were a little slow, but it was a Monday morning. Play the right tees and you will have a good time.
GOOD COURSE FOR GOOD OLD BOYS
DONT GET ME WRONG, MY 2 BROTHERS AND I HAD GOOD TIME PLAYING APPLE MOUNTAIN, FAIRWAYS IN GOOD SHAPE, GREENS HELD GREAT BUT WERE VERY SLOW. THE PROBLEM WAS WE HAD A 5 SOME IN FRONT OF US AND ONE BEHIND US , SO IT MUST BE COMMON OCCURENCE AT THIS COURSE. THERE WAS A MARSHALL ON COURSE BUT HE NEVER TALKED TO US JUST DROVE AROUND US. PLAYED IN A LITTLE OVER 4 HOURS BUT WAITED ON EVERY SHOT. NOT WORTH THE 130 MILE ROUND TRIP.
Hidden Jewel
Living in Florida but staying in N. Georgia, I was not expecting to find a course of this caliber at the price we paid. Great layout and somewhat challenging. Nice personnel at the clubhouse and the mowers even shut off their engines when we got near.
Play again...,.you bet...
Course had very nice, quick greens.
Nice course for the average player. Lots of elevation changes, and fairly open layout. Not a lot of trouble, but enough to get your attention. Greens were very nice and quick with lots of subtle breaks,
Good layout
Played on a nice day. For this time of year, the course is in good shape. Will even get better. Staff has always been friendly. Decent layout and a good test of golf no matter what tee boxes you play. Would recommend to anyone.
Great course for the money
Greens are in great shape they seem to care about fixing the divots when lazy golfers don't.
The fairways provide shots to go for it or work on your lay-ups. Awsome course to play when visiting Northeast Georgia.
Open?
Apple Mountain is an interesting track. Don’t let the low slope fool you. I think it plays a bit tougher than the slope indicates, but is still not overly difficult. The conditions were perfect, the greens were fresh and healthy, but the fairways had not quite recovered from the winter yet. This course looks wide open, but with its subtle turns and foothills, it can give you a false sense of easiness. Tee shots in the fairway will make this course fairly easy, but you can get into trouble easily. The par threes are fairly long for amateur golfers but drivable. This was my second time playing here and I will be back. I like it.
Very Nice Course!
The course was in great shape and the greens were true. Only issue was with pace of play but sometimes that is unavoidable when it is the only nice day of a weekend!
Good day
Went with my wife to play and it is a good course for women to play. Pace was slow as there were a number of golfers who had been pushed off their own course by collegiate tournament. Course is short with a few doglegs and no water hazards in play. Expect no problems off the tee box as the fairways are generous. The course's challenge is on the greens. As it was my first time I was not used to the speed. They were a little on the fast side. Will go back again and I expect the course to be fully grown in and green by the end of April.
loved it
friendly folks. down to earth people, relaxed atmosphere, very fun. they even let you take your cooler on the course. you cannot beat that!
Nice Mountain Course
First time playing here. Clubhouse staff was excellent. Made me feel very welcome. Nice day in early March. Course not that long, especially on front nine. Fast firm greens. Words of wisdom, stay below the hole. The only criticism, especially with today's game is to turn hole 9 into a long par 3 instead of an extremely short par 4. That would make it a par 71 instead of 72, and would make it a bit tougher. There are some longer, and much tougher holes on the back nine, so make sure and score well on the front nine, and then hang in there for the back nine.
Resort Type Course
Located in a relaxing mountain setting. Course in good shape for this time of year and well worth the reasonable fee. Staff very friendly. Nice Grill for lunch across the street at the Resort.
