Slooooow

Everyone knows what type of course this is. But over 5 hours is terrible. No ranger, 4 groups waiting to tee off, just terrible. Weeds in the greens, etc. it's a shame too because the location is beautiful.

Not a fan

Granted it’s late March and has been cold, but the course conditions weren’t good. Some tee boxes were nearly all sand. The greens were painted and nearly impossible to putt on. Around the cup it seemed like when they pulled the plug and put in the cup they didn’t tamp around it causing a dome effect. No matter what green or what angle if the ball was moving slowly it would roll away from the hole. Several other groups noticed as well and would talk about it while waiting to tee off. Our round also lasted longer than 5 hours. On the good side, the staff were super friendly and the price to play wasn’t bad given that every other course is charging an arm and a leg to play on the weekends.

Tried Again

I have played at CL a couple of times in last year. It was interesting at first but as the novelty of the unique layout wares off you start to notice that there is no grass on teeboxes and too much errossion to play much off the fairways. Greens are good and high point of the course. Really not many flat lies on course in general.

The thing that I have noticed most is ProShop staff is too preoccupied to hardly even look up. Basically hand you a cart key and say you are good to go. Kind of make you feel like you are bothering them. I often book as a single and they have never offered to get me with a group.

You asked so this is my honest evaluation.

Appreciate & Enjoy For What It Is.

I love this farm style course. Don’t go if you want a luxury golf experience. This ain’t that! Very chill atmosphere. Short course but challenging In it’s own way. Greens are very small and elevated. Tee boxes are a bit rough. Cold beer and very pleasant beer cart staff.

Waste of money

Course was not in good shape at all. Not sure what the norm is at this course but I feel like I paid too much. Tee boxes were sand boxes and very uneven. Greens weren’t too bad but overall not good. I was surprised because I it had 4 stars overall. I would give it a 2.5-3

Countryland

I’ve played here a few times fairways are in decent shape but tee boxes are rough and greens weren’t cut. Pace of play was really good for a change it’s not a bad course to play when conditions aren’t the greatest but shouldn’t charge over $30 to play here.

Great value

Fun course…plenty of hills….don’t be too sloppy with your shots and stay on the flat spots. No driving range but you’ll love the first 2 par 4’s on 1 & 2 well planned to get you going.

A great bang for your buck.

The pace of play was horrible, and their attempt to pair groups together was just as bad. The ranger (16-17 year old kid) drove around and didn’t speak to any players, just picked up trash. Greens and Tee boxes were decent. All in all, for the price, I would recommend this course. Great price, and a decently laid out course. Don’t come here if you’re expecting something nice/professional.

Fast & Tough greens

Love Countryland, alway fun and challenging. Their greens are difficult and fast. There are little weeds all over the greens, but im sure they’ll get that cleared up soon. Greens are usually in great shape, still tough though. One miscalculation with your putt and you could roll completely roll off the green.
