On the 14th tee. Kind of a blind drive over a hill. Fun hole. Photo submitted by u000006907181 on 06/28/2019

Great course
My son and I really enjoy playing here. My son is just getting into golf and the staff and other players are all extremely nice and patient with him!
Worth going once
This course doesn’t have a driving range. Has an area to putt and chop but it’s in very bad condition. The layout isn’t very nice so there’s a lot of hills and altitude changes. The greens weren’t horrible but weren’t good at all. Someone said this is like a cow pasture they put holes on and I think I can agree with them: we had fun for $35, but all said we wouldn’t want to come back.
Not worth it.
This course should be $20 to play. The ranger is a nice guy but they are way more worried about people bringing personal beers on the course (not me, I heard it on his radio while waiting to go to the 1st) than keeping pace of play. If you book a tee time here, you should expect to wait on every tee box for at least 10 minutes before teeing off. Course conditions are below average, fairways are littered with weeds throughout and the 7th hole which is a par 4 did not have a mowed fairway. The greens are actually browns and putting is a game of luck rather than skill due to the unevenness of the turf. The cart paths are in dire need of repair. This course Is not worth $40 when There is another course just a few miles away that is $20 more, in much better condition and, has legitimate practice facilities. I would not recommend and will not return.
Greens are terrible
I haven't seen greens so bad. It's mostly sand, rough patches, or very uneven layers.
Slooooow
Everyone knows what type of course this is. But over 5 hours is terrible. No ranger, 4 groups waiting to tee off, just terrible. Weeds in the greens, etc. it's a shame too because the location is beautiful.
Not a fan
Granted it’s late March and has been cold, but the course conditions weren’t good. Some tee boxes were nearly all sand. The greens were painted and nearly impossible to putt on. Around the cup it seemed like when they pulled the plug and put in the cup they didn’t tamp around it causing a dome effect. No matter what green or what angle if the ball was moving slowly it would roll away from the hole. Several other groups noticed as well and would talk about it while waiting to tee off. Our round also lasted longer than 5 hours. On the good side, the staff were super friendly and the price to play wasn’t bad given that every other course is charging an arm and a leg to play on the weekends.
Tried Again
I have played at CL a couple of times in last year. It was interesting at first but as the novelty of the unique layout wares off you start to notice that there is no grass on teeboxes and too much errossion to play much off the fairways. Greens are good and high point of the course. Really not many flat lies on course in general.
The thing that I have noticed most is ProShop staff is too preoccupied to hardly even look up. Basically hand you a cart key and say you are good to go. Kind of make you feel like you are bothering them. I often book as a single and they have never offered to get me with a group.
You asked so this is my honest evaluation.
