On the 14th tee. Kind of a blind drive over a hill. Fun hole. Photo submitted by u000006907181 on 06/28/2019

Best Bang for the Buck
Greens are in great shape, except 14. Play here now... the weather is perfect.
Good Practice course
My wife and I play this course regularly, as it is a great course for sharpening your game. Lots of elevation changes and some challenging drives; with a mixture of easier holes to get back your scores. The greens keeper has hardened up some of the longer and shorter driving holes; by letting the rough grow in. Hence, not so much roll on your ball. The greens are currently in some of the best condition I have seen in the 20 plus years I have played this course. Good value for money, but pick your tee time wisely; as this course is popular with the regulars.
Short but tough in spots
The greens were in good shape and the tea boxes were in great shape as well. The rest of the course was a little rough around the edges but was in pretty decent shape for the weather during the summer. The greens were probably the best thing as they putted well and had no bad spots. Will play it again soon
Great improvement on greens.
Earlier in the year the greens and fairways were in bad shape. But now they are in great shape. Could use a few more distance markers. Will play again.
Good early summer
Everything looked spectacular while my dad and I were there Friday. We’ll be back soon and often if the course stays in this shape. Some people call this course a cow pasture, and sometimes it’s true, depending on when you go, but sometimes this course is heaven on earth like during early summer for example. And the views are spectacular. This is the course I first started playing golf on, then I quit several years ago, then I started back up when my dad took up golf at 66 years old just before he retired, and now we play here quite a bit so it is a special place for me. Anyway, this golf course is in the best condition early summer while we’re still getting plenty of rain, warm weather and sunshine. The course conditions aren’t as good as some other courses during winter and spring. During spring there tends to be lots of weeds on the greens, and they are slow and bumpy, but they smooth out after the spring rains then they harden and speed up like crazy during the summer. It’s definitely better to be short of the flagstick than long during the summer. The bunkers need more sand. But all in all it’s good for the value. The staff is nice and you can pretty much do what you want on the course. They maintain a nice practice putting green, and they keep plenty of cold water at several water stations. The fish on 18 is always a nice treat. Keep an eye out for Sasquatch on hole 7. And don’t forget to ask about the cream filled double fudge chocolate Little Debbie cakes. ;) :)
Lipstick on a pig
Greens are in the worst shape I’ve ever experienced at Countryland. Overgrown fairways and 10 inch rough. Keep your money and go somewhere else.
Now I remember
It had been several years since I had played CL and I was reminded why this weekend. What was once a hidden gem has become a goat trail. Over priced at the $34 I paid. A real shame.
Great course for the price
Anyone who has played here knows this course needs some love and work. However, for the price and convenient location to locals, it is great. If someone complains about price vs. condition, it is definitely because they have never played here and obviously did poorly.
Horrible
fast Greens... everything else is garbage. weeds, bare spots, rocks, no driving range never will return.
Best bang for your buck.
I don't care how nice a course is, the staff that run it on a daily basis help make a course. These are some of the nicest guys I've ever met. I'm not a long hitter, but this course layout is pretty awesome. Wide open, easy to find a ball if you mishit one. Just a great value for your money. Will definitely be back.
Good course
This is a nice local course at a reasonable price. Greens are a little natty, but still ok. Great views. We'll be back often.
Slow pace, fairways in terrible condition
The pace was ridiculously slow, even for a Saturday. We waited at each hole at least 10 minutes and the fairways were in bad condition. It was like playing in a cow pasture. Never going back, not recommended.
Value course
Country Land is a fun course and has some interesting holes. Must be in the fairway to score here, as the rough is "pretty rough." Always a good deal here, your experience golfing may be helped if you bring along a sherpa...very hilly !!!
