Good basic course at a good price!
Not a PGA tour stop by any means but a good course to play with friendly employees.
Country Land and GolfNow
I have played this course several times, and for the money (anywhere from $12-20), I'll keep coming back. Some of the greens are sloped and some are very hard to read, I don't think there is a straight putt on this course. Fairways are fair with some tough elevation changes, so don't be afraid to use an extra club (or two).
short but interesting
Course in general is nice, but too much incline on many fairways, such that the balls hardly stays on the fairways. If you slice the ball or hook it, even your ball falls in the middle of fairway, it will roll off the "cliff". So hit straight.
Most of the geens are elevated and no rough edges to stop your rolling ball. So you must hit it with a back spin or way high to make sure your ball doesn't roll once it hits the green.
Another thing, the green is very slow and bumpy. Other than that its good course.
Great little course.
Greens are in great shape. If you are not careful you can get into a bunch of uneven lies which can make it more interesting if you like that sort of stuff. Overall a fun little course to play.
I could not believe this course was rated three stars. The course was in poor shape, the greens had plastic covers that were rolled up and hindered play. The course layout made it hard to follow the fair ways and determine which fair way you were playing on. Pretty tight is some areas and caused players to hit into my group.
Watch your ball
This course has many slopes and hills. It's difficult to find a even ball placement. The course is interesting due to the layout. You must pay attention to the lay of the land in order to hit your tee shots to the proper side, otherwise; your ball will roll towards the woods or into a deep valley. Overall this course was fun.
Very unique course
Country land has a great course with a lot of shorter but very challenging holes
Not bad
Very hilly, you will lose golf balls, only able to use driver on a few holes. Good for practicing tho as you have to be accurate on every hole & green.
Lots of slope and smallish greens. A fine course but limit your high expectations.
Hidden Jewel
Great views. Quirky course. This is not best course in area. All greens looked good. Pretty good deal for the money charged.
Great course for the price!!
I've played here numerous times. It is an enjoyable course and a challenge for a duffer like me. The fairways are fairly narrow and it is a hilly course. The staff takes good care of the course.
Course was in good condition, BUT.......
Course was in pretty good shape.
Tons of rolling hills and elevations.
Weather great. Very windy.
Cart charged up.
The man who runs the cashier is an unhappy human being and I am praying for him. I took my dad to ride with me TWICE this past Fathers Day weekend AT THIS COURSE. I let him know I was from out of town and intended to come THERE to play. His customer service is very POOR, and he came outside and screamed at my dad, very ugly-like, for pulling up on a hill near the 1ST green WHERE IT WAS OBVIOUS OTHER CARTS HAD PREVIOUSLY GONE. God bless you, sir. There are hundreds of other courses to play at. I hope you escape your misery. I doubt that course is making money, and I think I know precisely why that is.
Liked the layout!
This is my 3rd time playing here. 90% of the greens are elevated, which give you a run for you money. Fairways are in great shape. Bunkers have soft sand. If you hit outside the fairways you will find red Georgia dirt hard pan with rocks. So stay in the fairway!!!
Get Back Into It!!!
I had not played in over a year and was pleasantly surprised by this course. It was very forgiving for someone who is just getting back into the game. One of the really great things about this course is some of the fantastic views all the way down to Atlanta from off the tees. If you want to get out for a day, go to this course for sure.
Goat pasture
Know locally as the goat pasture course.
Fun course - great value!!
This is not the best maintained course I have played on but the price makes it totally worth it and should be realized by any "real" golfer when they see the fees. Great for beginners and a relaxing play for the more experienced golfer.
An embarrassment to the game of golf
I will preface my review by saying that it was early March when we played. While that certainly isn't prime time of the year and I understand that the expectations are lower this time of the year this course still falls well, well below expectations..
- No driving range to warm up
- Ridiculously short, you can easily drive 5 or 6 of the greens here.
- The greens were the worst i've ever played on, crab grass everywhere sticking up, which really affected puts your ball would bounce all over the green.
- Black tarps rolled up on the back of every green. Which was kind of odd because why even bother covering the greens they were in such bad shape. It would of been an improvement if they died completely and you had to put on dirt.
- Weeds and crab grass everywhere. Some weeds had grown so long they were in flowers now.
- Terrible layout, overall the course itself even if maintained better was bad. 75 yard par 3? come on.
- The water on the course looked like a toxic trash dump. Has it ever been cleaned?
- Not sure where the fairway/rough was..
- Everything was run down, from the signs, to the tee box markers.. everything.
- Not even the tee boxes were flat lies. I mean for god sakes at least have a decent tee box.
- There was supposed to be a net on the 11th fairway, which apparently blew off at some point and was never replaced, just more evidence of a course in disarray
- Some of the pins were duct taped together....
- Even the burger was freezer burned, and over cooked.
- A 4 1/2 hour rounds, on a course that is only 5500 from the whites, and a laughable 6000 from the tips is completely unacceptable.
- Speaking of length 6000 from the tips? All they way out here. I get these short courses in the city, but all the way out here?
- The typical clientele was broke college kids, and hillbillies in jeans and cut off t shirts.
- 20$ with cart was what we paid, and even that was to much...
It was a nice day in March, and we let our neighbor pick the course (that will never happen again). A bad day at golf beats a good day at the office, but not if you play here.. Do the game of golf a favor and turn this place into the cow pasture it already is.
