Country Land GC reborn
The course has sufferd from the wather the last few years, but, due to hard work by the staff, it appears to be headed for a beautiful course alter this spring. The improvent's are already showing on the green's. It's a fun couse, the staff is alway's friendly. GO PLAY.
Golfnow deal makes it worth playing.
It's a hilly course so be prepared to do some walking up hills. You can avoid a good bit of that with accurate shots that put you in a better position. While it may not be the nicest course around, it was in decent condition considering they were starting to seed it. Get a good deal on Golfnow and it will be worth the money. We played on a Monday when it wasn't very busy and we got through the round fairly quickly. The greens were quick and the ball will roll.
Rough course
This course was not well maintained. The fairways were grown up, the greens were atrocious, and the layout is terrible. The put the pins on a major slip on a lot of greens. Not a fan at all.
Couldn't pay me to play there again.
My wife and I live a couple miles from the course and decided it would be fun to go play one afternoon. I have driven by multiple times and wasn't expecting much when we got there. The back 9 was closed for some reason but that was fine because we were only going to play 9 anyway. Cost was more than I expected for the place late Saturday evening. It was $20 per person for 9 holes. Once we got out and started, I quickly realized it wasn't worth $1 per person. One of the worst layouts I've ever played and easily the worst condition of the thousands of courses I have played in my life. When I say I wouldn't get payed to go back, I mean it. No chance in any lifetime would I think of actually paying to play that place again. I'd just assume quit the game. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Great place
it was the most hilly terrain I have ever golfed on a golf course. Great view of the mountains in the distance. Quiet and non rushed. Overall value was excellent.
Very challenging and is best value for your dollar
From #1 to #18 you will encounter ball above your feet, below your feet, slope up, slope down, sand traps and lakes in front of the greens. There are tee shots where you need to hit a fade and some where a draw would be best. One thing is certain, if you are not using your brain on each shot (and taking a few practice swings first) to pick the right club and where you want to land your ball, your score will suffer. And your skill at being able to pitch, chip and putt will be challenged at each hole. I think Country Land Golf Club is the best value for your golfing dollar.
Great value. ..a few tight spots. .
Fun, funky and cheap.. got around in 3.5 hours...not the greatest layout, although the views can be awesome. New greens....smooth and sturdy.
Great course for the price
We love this course and play almost every weekend. The pace of play is good and there are a number of really challenging holes, strategy is everything.
Nice Course/ Great Value
Played with a buddy. First time either of us have played here. Very surprised at the value for the course. Scenery is great, especially at the higher elevation holes and clubhouse. Distance runs around 5800 as I recall. Not a "grip it and rip it, with wide fairways and huge greens" type of course. Challenging shot/club selection on just about every hole. Accuracy is a key. Good to have an extra set of eyes on the ball as there are many hills and valleys. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are in great shape. Bunkers are packed. Some of the pin placements are more challenging than others. Its a fun course. Its a great value and its a pleasant change of pace from the typical northern Metro type course.
Very enjoyable outing
Great day of golf. Weather was perfect. Staff very friendly. The course dried up real well form all the rain earlier in the week.
highly recommend
My round at Country Land was a blast.Best greens I;ve played all year.mixture of average and difficult holes.Par 3's partiularly hard with wind conditions.
Plan on playing there asap.
Great mix of features
Course in great condition.
You have to earn your score, good challenge.
Good course for a short track
Greens were nice, tees and fairways also good. Bunkers were packed, though. Glad I didn't have to hit out of them, especially greenside. Water coolers well placed and filled: great for 90+ temps. I enjoyed the course and will return.
Beautiful mountain views
This may be a short course (5500+yds) par 70 from the white tees, but the Mountain terrain makes it a enjoyable manageable and challenging course. The views from the tee boxes are outstanding.
Rough course and Rude management
This course has not been in good condition for years but it was usually a value and therefore worth visiting. Recently played and on the way to the 1st tee I realized there were a 3some and 2 4somes all at the #1 tee box. Seeing the back 9 open I decided to start on 10 thereby relieving some of the congestion. When I went into the clubhouse at the turn I was berated by the manager for not starting on 1. He wouldn't listen to reason and was extremely rude. "We manage the course not you" was said more than once. Obviously not managing well with that many groups on 1 tee box. I will not be returning. This is not the 1st encounter with rudeness at this course.
Nice short course
Country land is a nice course for the price. They should be opening the front nine soon. Good pace, friendly folks!!
Don't play
I have been playing golf for some time know and play twice a weekend for three years.this corse is by far the worst one I have ever played.DON'T play country land
Great for the value
Great course for a novice. Conditions aren't great but for the value. It's great
Prepare to play the back nine twice!
Last day to play the whole 18 was June 1; and the front nine was ROUGH. Unplayable greens. Back nine played fine, the greens needed to be cut and sanded though.
PS. No practice range, come ready to swing em.
