West Pines Golf Club

I had not played West Pines in close to a year and had the day off so went out and played. The course is in excellent shape! Fairways flawless, greens great, and the sand traps were great! Cant wait to get out and play another round there.

More good work going into this course with re-sodding 2-3 tee boxes. (Markers were moved up to front tee boxes.) Conditions overall are very good - greens and fairways are excellent, rough is tough but mowed, sand traps OK. Well worth the trip.

West Pines is really a great course. The layout is challenging and very similar to a mountain course with rolling hills. My friend and I really enjoyed the course. The management and staff are doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work. We will be back!1

This course has excellent greens and fairways and most tee boxes and sand traps. The only thing missing is a ranger to speed up play. When the slow group in front of you has 2 open holes in front of them, it should be easy to play through. Not here. It's frustrating to have to wait on almost every shot, especially on a very hot day.

Greens were excellent. Fairways were just cut. The staff was friendly. The club is always one of our favorites.

Really enjoyed playing this course, it beat me up due to the angulations and balls being below or above my feet. Look forward to taking on the challenge again soon

West Pines is a fantastic value for the price. It’s been rainy so I played up a tee box but I was pleasantly surprised how well the course played after days of heavy rain. Kudos to the Superintendent & his/her crew.

Pace of play was great(about 3 hours as a single with paths only).

I read other reviews that mentioned negative comments about the broken cart paths, and the tee boxes but I didn’t feel they were bad enough to detract from my rating.

The sand traps were sub par but anyone that plays a lot of golf knows that the extreme rain in the area as of late will keep the grounds crew from taking them properly. I didn’t notice any of them washed out, just not raked.

Greens rolled fairly again considering the amount of rain.

West Pines has some of the best greens in the area. The fairways are also in much better shape than a lot of courses that charge twice as much. Some very challenging holes, overall very fair but with a few quirky holes. I have played here many times over the years and continue to play because it is consistently in good shape. Pace can be a little slow some days but that's the case at most courses. I'll be back.

This course is in fantastic shape. The greens are fast and roll true. This place has public course pricing with private course conditions.

I will definitely be back. For the price, this course was in unbelievable shape and very enjoyable. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in excellent condition.

My buddy and I had the day off of work and decided to play here for the first time. This is a great course that’s not too far from the city. This is a great value course that is in great conditions for early summer. The staff are super friendly and made accommodations for us. The carts are like brand new with gps and Bluetooth. There was ice water out on the course and a drink/snack cart driving around. I definitely will be back to West Pines!
