West Pines Golf Club

Played yesterday at West Pines. The greens are in excellent condition although extremely fast. The course layout is not one of my favorites due to hitting uphill tee shots on several holes. Overall hilly course with uneven fairways. A little rough around the edges but playable. I enjoy playing here about once or twice per year.

The course layout provides a lot of variety and keeps you engaged. Fun course to play and the greens were running pure.

I've played many courses around Georgia and never have a problem with going to play at West Pines.

West Pines is consistently in better shape all around than any of the local courses including the 2 Cannongate courses. The greens have always been in amazing shape. Fairways are about a 7.5/10, greens are a 8.5.

Some really tough holes, lots of elevation change.

You will not regret playing this course!

I consider West Pines to be my home course, I live off of one of the holes on the course, I get my lessons from the head pro there, and I throw as much money as I can to this place whenever I can. Hands down, West Pines is the best public course on the west side of Atlanta. Since no one in Douglas, Paulding, Carroll, or West Cobb can figure out if they want to hunt, golf, or drink...West Pines doesn't see nearly the business it should. If this course was on the east side, it would be easily rated one of the top 5 courses in Atlanta. The staff here is professional, they're always available to answer your questions. The course is in great shape, and even through its current renovations, play runs as smooth as it should. I recommend this course to anyone on the west side of Atlanta.

This course is a great value. There are some long par 4s uphill that really force a long second shot. On the flip side there are some shorter holes that you need to keep the driver in the bag. I enjoy this course and will be back.

I had heard mixed reviews prior to playing, but I really liked this course. The layout is fun and challenging. It's winter time, so I don't expect much in terms of fairway quality, but the greens and tee boxes were in great shape. Nice practice putting green and driving range. Staff was very nice, carts are in good shape. Maintenance crew is active, which is a good sign that the course is cared for and improvements are being made. Played on a Thursday morning in 2.5 hours, can't beat that!!

Good course for the money. For dormant shape I would say the course was in very good condition except for sand traps, many of which were marked as GUR but several that weren't should be. Greens were excellent for this time of year.

Open fairways yet challenging. Flat, Hills, slopes, sand, water...all at west pines

Course was well maintained. New golf carts. Would definitely play this course again.

I've played West Pines probably a dozen times over the past few years and am consistently pleased with my experience at this course. The course is well-maintained and challenging without being too difficult to enjoy. My only complaint would be that pace of play can drag, but that is to be expected on summer weekends on Atlanta courses.

The course was in great shape. Played with a couple locals who gave advise on some holes. Stay in the fairway because the ball sets down in the rough. Makes it hard to find the ball.
Definitely will play here again.

This course is in excellent shape and has a nice layout. Greens rolling good as well. I will be returning.

Overall West Pines was a great course. The staff was very accommodating. Fairways and greens were excellent. We will return!

I play about 6 tracks in the area. West pines is by far in the best shape of all of them. The course super and his staff have done a great job here. It has everything. Long challenging holes and short easy par 3s. Great track for any golfer. If I had and negative thing to say is at the last hole. It boarders Walmart . I wish they would plant something to block the views of the backside of Walmart . Easy fix and adds a degree of beauty to this awesome track. Oh, and the pro shop staff could be a bit more friendly.

I play this course at least once a week and every time that i play it is always in great conditions. This is probably one of the best courses to play for the money.

This was my first time on this course and although it was challenging I really enjoyed playing. The greens, fairways, and tee boxes were all very well manicured. I assure you that it was my first time but will not be my last. This beginning golfer says thanks!
