good greens and some fun holes...course needs work
Fun layout most holes but two par 4s have very short landing area, requiring you to tee off with a '<180 yard' shot..not good. #18 is a par 3...never liked courses with a par 3 finish. Greens are well maintained. Fairways are "ok" ...forgiving, but bare spots are not good.
Driving range was closed for upgrades which is nice BUT would have preferred to see $$ invested in overall course conditions...for example, concrete on cart paths are old, broken up ...not safe and need replacing!
Great round of golf
This was our first time playing West Pines and throughly enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The course was in excellent condition and challenging. We will be back.
Would play again.
Was single playing course for first time. Matched up with another player and then a twosome. All were from local area. Nice guys and made the day enjoyable as they knew the course well. Generously wide fairways. Greens and fairways in good condition. Some challenging holes for a bogey golfer. Challenging but not too much. Most holes were pretty straight forward. Nice course for money would definitely play again if in town.
Just Keeps Getting Better
From the pro shop to the starter to the course itself its fantastic. Green fees have gone up a little but it’s great to see a club investing money in the course.
Place looks pristine and with a new range about to be laid. Will will be adding it back onto our regular rotation. Well worth the trip out from Atlanta.
Awesome Greens
The greens at West Pines keep getting better. Thanks to Scott in the Pro Shop for making our day memorable. Can’t wait to get back there.
Decent course
Range wasn’t open looked like they’re upgrading it. Why? Who knows. They did have a warm up net.
Very nice!
The staff was very professional and kind. The course was in great shape, and the greens were immaculate. Make sure you have enough water and supplies. The 9th hole doesn’t empty out back to the clubhouse. But the course has bathrooms and water stations throughout. I will definitely return here.
Great Improvement
Played West Pines a few weeks ago and must take my hat off and congratulate the team for their hard work. The fairways and greens were very good. The gentleman in the pro shop was super helpful and the starter got us out earlier than expected. Thanks WP.
