West Pines Golf Club

Needs more directions on course. GPS was helpful but didn't identify blind shots.

Super nice course for the money, cool layout and the course was in great condition. One of the best courses I've ever played for $65, will be playing again soon

Got a hot deal to play here Sunday at 11:50 for $50+fees. My playing partner ran out of gas and had a huge delay, the gentleman at the clubhouse was extremely polite and helpful in getting our time pushed back to accommodate.

The course conditions were excellent with immaculate fairways and just a couple sandy greens/tee boxes. Fairly easy course with many long, straight fairways, but that’s a positive in my book. Bunkers were cleanly raked and full.

I will be coming back again and again.

Another enjoyable round at West Pines. The newly upgraded driving range is awesome. I was a little upset that the greens had been lightly sanded but if anything it made them FASTER!

Enjoyed the course layout and the speed of the greens. I would recommend this course to play.

For the most part, course conditions were good.

More attention needs to be put towards the greens. About half were brown. Cut way too short. It's going to take some special attention to for recovery.

There are far better courses to play in the area. Both Chapel Hill and Mirror Lake are offering Member for the Day specials and for the same price, you get a much better experience. The staff at West Pines - from the pro shop to the marshall - were arrogant, rude and condescending. For a muni, that's par for the course. They acted bothered that anyone wanted to play here. It hasn't rained in weeks and some holes were 90degree or cart path only. The layout is boring, greens are hard as nails and the new driving range requires you to hit off the mats, despite plenty of grass to utilize.

Fun layout most holes but two par 4s have very short landing area, requiring you to tee off with a '<180 yard' shot..not good. #18 is a par 3...never liked courses with a par 3 finish. Greens are well maintained. Fairways are "ok" ...forgiving, but bare spots are not good.

Driving range was closed for upgrades which is nice BUT would have preferred to see $$ invested in overall course conditions...for example, concrete on cart paths are old, broken up ...not safe and need replacing!

This was our first time playing West Pines and throughly enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The course was in excellent condition and challenging. We will be back.

Things seemed in pretty good shape. Fun track and round.
