About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

Great course
Love this course , just a fun course to play . Only complaint I’ve it seems to always have a shortage of cart girls . Besides that play on !

Tough course
Soggy conditions after 3 days of rain. 1st time for me playing this course. Some really tough holes, especially island green hole. Enjoyable round of golf with my sons.

Good course considering mid winter conditions
It was cold so course was not busy. They were completely caught up from an early morning frost delay so pace of play was around 3 hrs. For an 11:10 tee time
Greens were good, as were fairways, bunkers were great.

Great potential but not up to par condition-wise
Overall condition of the course wasn’t up to par. The greens were a little slow but were by far the best part of the course. As for the fairways, rough and bunkers; they definitely were not maintained properly. Overall for the money, not a bad value but in comparison to other courses they need to tighten up tee to green.

Great
Got out at 330 on Sunday played in 3 hours. They said they were experiencing recovery conditions on greens. They were great. Little long but expected because of the drought. Course is in great shape. Very happy they have recovered this course.
