About
Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The course is tucked amongst the Appalachian foothills, giving it a scenic terrain of rolling hills. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Five sets of tees provide even more variety. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers. There are a few scattered trees but the course is mostly open and offers some room for error. In addition to the 27 holes, Chicopee Woods G.C. also has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Hilly but in great shape
You will be tired from the hills, even in a cart, but all 3 nines are in great shape, including the greens.

Always enjoy
Course is good to very good as always, never disappoints. Starter keeps everyone on schedule helping with pace of play. If you’ve not played go & play. Would like to play it more but pricey w/o any discounts

Overall great course
Greens are some of the best in ATL, We played Village/Mill, really good shape. Pace of play is a little slow, not horrible. Saw the cart lady on Monday quite a few times, saw the ranger, not sure what he can do, just get's a lot of play..again not horrible, just a little slow...Range closed in the morning on Monday

Excellent layout
Chicopee is always a great tract to play. The course has put a lot of money into nice little things you don't see at some other courses:
1. built in coolers on each cart
2. built in club washers and ball washers on each cart.
3. continuous improvements on the turf - 'bald' spots fixed up and filled in with nice grass
4. great burgers at reasonable price
5. Excellent practice range, putting green, sand range
6. no houses on the course. true golf course - not building development.

A FAVORITE
One of my favorite local courses to play. Great STAFF! GREAT PRACTICE FACILITIES and the three 9 hole courses offers something different each time you play as the staff mixes up the 18 hole rotation. The greens are durable and consistent.. Something for everyone l, long hitters and position players alike.

Beautiful Day 4 Golf
Nice Course. Most often love this course. My wife and I enjoy playing. She’s a new golfer.
During this round on the back nine, We experienced, for the first time, multiple single golfers in front and behind us. With my wife being a new golfer, constant pressure of someone right on you pretty invasive to her and annoying to consider letting them through or not. We let one through and had three other individual golfers behind us applying pressure. Had we let everyone through would have continually held us up. Maybe a little better management of tee times regarding single golfers. They could have been grouped together maybe.
Still great place to play. We’ll return.

I’m new so haven’t played many courses
Fees were very reasonable.
Would have liked the driving range to be open but it was Monday morning.
Everyone courteous.
Fairways in good shape as were greens.

Great Sunday Afternoon
Practice area was very good, Tee boxes good, fairways very good, greens consistently slow. Saw a lot of putts left short. Other than that a wonderful day. Fun and nice course. Village to Mill.

The greens were sloooooow!
Our group always enjoy playing here, but we were disappointed in how slow the greens were relative to a few weeks ago. We struggled getting the ball to the hole all day which impacted our scores and enjoyment. Otherwise, the course was in great shape and the greens rolled true. The Starter is great and always welcoming. I also love that he calls you well in advance, so you get to the first tee on time. Simply put - it's a great course, but the unexpectedly slow greens kept me from giving the course a five star rating.
