Good course, greens not so much
I have played this course for years so I am going to give you honesty. Overall it's a good course but there are several greens that have been terrible for years now. The 18th being the worst by far! The practice green is usually immaculate and blazing fast, it also is currently having problems. Pace is usually a little slow, expect 18 to take 4 hrs. Lastly, if your playing during the week (Mon-Fri), don't be surprised if the grounds crew get a little too close for comfort and/or changing hole locations in the middle of your round.
Nice time
Very nice time with everything taken in consideration
Poor pace of play and overscheduling
No monitoring of pace of play, scheduling multiple foursomes back to back. Takes hours to play alone.
Very good course, especially considering price. Nice conditions, nice staff, good food. Pace of play was a bit rushed, but I tend to take a bit longer as I’m a new golfer = more strokes.
Rough
The greens were very rough. Still a lot of damaged areas places around the greens need to be blocked off. They’re getting wore down to the dirt by the golf carts and wash out areas very near the greens.
Awsome
Awsome place to be out with your buddies for a good time. Always a pleasure when it’s golf time. Course is always in good shape
Pleasantly surprised
The fairways were nice and green. The greens rolled with good speed and the pace was a little slow with an older foursome in front. But after they let us through finished in 3 hours.
In The Middle of Nowhere
But great play and value. Very good condition as well. Highly recommended to get out and enjoy.
Consistently Great Course for the money!
This course is well maintained and fun to play. It's well worth the drive!
Great staff just overall terrible play.
I was recommended this course by an Army friend and the staff was phenomenal. However the pace of play was horrible. I was stuck behind a pair of players who (granted were also stuck behind a slow group) but they would wait till the team in front of them was completely off the green before hitting causing the pace to slow down the ENTIRE flow. I was on the fairway on one hole and the EIGHT MAN scramble team hit while I was still in their driving distances Causing me to hit onto the pair in front of me. This course is absolutely lawless. No one monitoring the pace of play and overall the LONGEST round I have EVER played ALONE. On average it takes me 2:30-3 hours to play a full 18. This round took 5-6 hours.
Good course
This is really good course hidden out in the woods of Burke County! I would recommend that you find it and play it if you get the chance.
