There is a light touch and quiet interaction with nature. You can play a beautiful, meditative golf at Laurel Island Links Laurel Island is approximately 25 minutes north of Jacksonville, FL. From Jacksonville take I-95 north to Georgia exit 6 and head east for two miles. Laurel Island Parkway will be on the left.

A Good Track, But...
I played this Davis Love-designed course when it opened and was impressed with everything.
When I played the other day, all the bunkers were closed and were being completely rebuilt, which is a good sign.
The fairways and greens were just OK.
This course has the potential to be a gem, and hopefully, it is heading in that direction.
Great course for the value… redoing bunkers which will greatly improve the course.
Wasn’t first out but first to finish
Played through two groups with a 7:56 tee time, played a 2:40 round. Guy below me commented on horrible greens and mushrooms who played 2 days before me and I saw no issues and greens were patchy but faster. I’d rather have fast and challenging than slow and pretty greens. Always love playing here.
Course under construction
Course has construction equipment on several holes. Bunkers are all dug up and unplayable, some have cement and others are just mounds of dirt. Cart path is broken concrete and gravel. Pro shop did not inform me of the construction at check in and hung up on me when I called to ask about the construction crews closing hole.
Bunkers Not Playable
Did not know course is under renovations. No bunkers are playable, tractors and workers in most of the bunkers. Greens are overgrown with weed spurts. Rates should be $25 max until the repairs are done. Amazing layout, too bad such poor conditions.
Always enjoy playing here
Overall, I would rate this course 4.5 Stars but for Course Conditions I gave a three star mainly for the high rough. But I understand the recent weather events it's time to mow it down. I lost a ball in it, and I KNOW where I hit it. I do highly recommend playing this course. I will be back.
Another round at Laurel Island
First, I gave the rating of 3 Stars for course conditions because Hurricane Helene just came through a couple days earlier. This rating does not reflect on the "usual" conditions of this course. My previous rounds this course is minimum 4 stars. My only "compliant" is, I understand hurricane clean-up but playing on a Sunday morning PLEASE mow the greens. I'll be back in a few days looking forward to it. Hopefully ground crew has caught up to the hurricane debris.
Decline
Would assume it is getting ready to close, or is suffering from no money. Really sad for what could be a really pretty course.
Needs TLC
A round here should be a really nice experience, but lack of attention detracts.
Bunkers have not been tended for a long time, with tall grass and weeds in most of them. Empty cans, bottles and wrappers litter the rough on several holes. Fairways and greens are in decent shape, so hit 'em straight!
It used to be worth the drive from Jax.
The course itself is a nice place to play.
Tee boxes average
Fairways decent
Greens for the most part ok
Bunkers can't even be called bunkers, holes with weeds and dirt.
For the price they changed l charge, they could put more money into making it what it was a few years ago
I only said yes to recommend playing there because of the layout, but it needs work
Great Layout
Have played here several times over the past year. Absolutely enjoy playing there however the recent rain events has taken its toll. Can’t find a better course when Mother Nature cooperates. Will definitely play it again when the area dries out.
First Light, First Out
Always enjoy playing this course especially early on a Sunday morning. Course was in really good shape, and the greens made putting fun. Will be back soon.
