About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Fair course but beware the cart paths!
Collins Hill is a fine course to play, however the cart paths have become more and more treacherous over time. The stone paths are broken, uneven, and missing in some places. Driving the green is a much safer and smoother experience when weather permits. I gave 3/5 stars but would raise to 5 stars if they dropped the price to a more reasonable cost for a course of this quality and fixed the paths. Otherwise no complaints!

Just “eh”
Prices are a bit much for what you get being it’s about the same price, if not more than sugar hill and that is a much better kept course. Tee boxes and Greens are rough, weeds/unfixed divots and 14’s green has a literal crevice obstacle from erosion going through it you have to get over if you land anywhere in front of the green, weed sprouts impede a true roll on most of the greens, fairways aren’t the worst but are rocky and soggy in areas. Golf cart GPS is wonky and will shut off the cart sometimes even if you’re not in a “not allowed” zone requiring you to push the cart to a location for it to turn back on. Good if you are just trying to get out and play but don’t expect much as far as a true score when you play. Pace of play isn’t bad.

Greens and sand traps need a lot of work. Course is well laid out with a variety of challenges.

One of my favorite local courses
Good course close to home. Play it often. Marshall’s do the best they can with crappy patrons. Matt in the office is a good guy as well as the other staff.

Good value for the price
We play there often and like the challenging layout
One thing, if they are going to allow golfers to play music while on the course they should at least request/enforce the music be kept low enough so others that prefer the good ole fashion quiet while playing not be subject to having to hear their music.
