About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Great Day
I love the course layout.
Staff is extremely friendly.
It's fine, greens had a rough winter.
Nice folks, nice swag in the gift shop. Good hot dogs. New carts.
The greens really had a rough winter. They were in much better shape last year. Almost all greens are really really poor.
I've played this course several times, I'll return but this was a rough one. Hopefully things improve over the summer!

Same Old
This was only my second trip back to the old "Springbrook" course since it became Collins Hill, so I go way back. Over the past several years the course has not improved much over the initial improvement following the sale. What is now the back nine was in poor condition, with several greens almost unplayable. I admit the fairways were better, but the greens - oh my! The front nine was in better shape and much more playable. Pace of play was good, not many people out today. New carts, even of an older model, are nice. The clubhouse was clean and bright. Only saw 2 people inside and a couple of guys in the 'cart barn'. Everyone was nice, and the guy in the pro shop was proud to tell me "you'll be happy with the changes". I'm glad he felt that way, but, in the end, I didn't see them.

1st & only time playing here. Heard they had made Improvements but overall the course is not in good shape. The county should be embarrassed by this place.

Poor value for the money
Greens were terrible. Layout was lousy. I won’t play this course again.

Adequate course
Conditions on the course especially fairways was very wet. The greens need a lot of work but will probably grow in in a month or so.

Maybe if…
Maybe if the staff wasn’t so rude and arrogant, particularly the starter and the guy inside of the pro shop where you check in. Starter was rude when advising myself and playing partner that we were waiting on another twosome. He spoke to us in an extremely condescending manner. Customer service is not a priority it felt like, and that’s a terrible feeling to have as a consumer when you’re spending money at any place!
No on course portable potty, so take it easy on the fluids.
The course is short, but offers a challenge. Course was not in the best shape as some of the greens were basically unplayable depending on where your ball went.
Overall this course was fun to play, but the staff kind of left a poor taste in my mouth with their attitude.

Fun course but in rough shape
Collins Hill is a nice, moderate course, with challenging fairways, some water and elevated greens. The problem we have with it is the greens are in terrible shape, with weeds and large bald spots and even dugout areas. Not certain if they manage the greens with a keeper or not, but they should really spend a little time on the green maintenance. The price during the week was borderline high for the shape it's in. If you're looking for a moderate level course and you don't care what shape it's in, this is probably a good choice.
