About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Greens in great shape
The fairways and greens are well tended 3 or 4 Holes had some dead spots on the greens. The greens putted so nicely. The course is tough with several blind shots. We hate that COVID prevents the drink cart. We brought our own water and sandwiches.

Unhappy
The course is set up to be difficult, but the conditions make it uncomfortable. Trees need to be cut back, tee boxes and greens need work, and the cart path is busted up in sports. There was a backup that could have been avoided if the Marshall attempted to speed up play or at least keep groups on pace.

Good value overall❗️
First time playing Collins Hill. Good value for the $. However some care needs to be taken with course MX. Cart paths especially need some TLC.

Needs care
All in all would of been better if I hadn't paid so much. It was a 9 hole, par 3 quality, $25 Max; but paying over $80 for a course where the green has a bunker, the cart path is equivalent of going off roading due to all the cracks and tree roots breaking thru the "path", was disappointing to the fullest. The only saving grace was, I had taken a 1st timer, who didn't know better. The back 9 was so backed up, we had 3 in front, 3 behind. Finally we gave in and left after the 14th hole. I would consider returning but at a MUCH lower fee. NOT WORTH $80! If $20-$25, great place to just have fun, no scoring.

Really not worth it
You would be better served to spend $10-15 more and have a much better course

Uniquely terrible
Greens are the size of your car hood and have bunkers in them. Fairways and approaches are the rough, and the rough is washed out clay. Cartpaths are rubble. This course is bombed out and depleted as if it were on some FOB in Afghanistan. The owners should be ashamed for the theft they commit everytime someone pays to play this atrocity. Even the carts and range match the Mogadishu from Black Hawk Down motif. Needless to say, unless you are a true masochist, go literally anywhere else or just don't play at all

Do not waste time or money
The greens are in such bad shape that it will cost you strokes. The amount of dead spots should embarrass whomever is responsible for the course. Pace of play was a little slow but we got around in 4.5 hours. 50 dollars is an absolute rip off do not even consider this course if you are able to go somewhere else.

Greens were fair
Cart paths badly in need of repair especially the last few holes.
