About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Collins Hill Golf Course
This was just my second time playing this course, some of the greens were in not so good shape. But I still enjoyed myself, I also met a couple of great guys there too. I would definitely recommend this course . I think the greens will come back , all the rain we've been having contributed to them being in the condition they were in I believe. I'll definitely play there again , really enjoyed myself...

Bad greens
The green were in bad situations but other than that it was a fun course to play.

Bang for your buck
This is a good enough course for the weekend player. For 40 dollars anywhere near Atlanta is a deal. The course itself isn’t long but challenging if you can’t keep it somewhat straight. The greens however are in bad shape, not all are rough but most have dead spots making it hard to keep chips on or even really know your true score. Like I said you get what you pay for.

Collins Hill a No Go
Greens, fairways and cart paths all were in terrible condition. Worst golf course I’ve played in years.

Really bad
Probably the worst golf course I have ever played on. Fairways were as hard as a rock. 70% of each green was not "green", it was just fungus. Cart trails were so bad that I mostly just drove down the fairway. All for $35! Dont bother.

Decent play
I liked the course. Wasn’t cramped together and spread out nice. We played with a guy working there he was cool. Course Marshal was a real douche but you only talk to him once.

The course is in bad shape
The greens were burned up and punched for aeration. There were huge bald spots in the fairways. The staff was friendly but the course is suffering from neglect.

Good Course, Bad People
The staff at the this course is the most disrespectful and oblivious group of people I have ever encountered on a golf course. Me and my buddies had a tee time set for Friday that we scheduled on Tuesday. The tee time was over the phone and was repeated multiple times so it seemed like it was in the system. When I arrived they said that there was no tee time under our name. Not only did they forget to add us in, me and my buddies are all 17 and when we arrived, Steve would not let us drive a cart even though we all drove our own cars to get there. I would not have had a problem with it except there was no mention on the phone or on the website. After we walked the first 9 Steve mocked us by being sarcastically concerned about our well being. The greens are in bad shape and the tee boxes are under sand. I will probably never return, because when I do turn the “legal age to drive” according to Collins Hill, the course is not worth $37. I would never recommend this course to anyone

Good course. Needs a little bit of TLC
Overall a good course. The greens are in port condition and there are a few spots that the cart path could use some love. The customer service that I was shown from the staff, both club house and maintenance, was incredible. Very friendly and helpful! I look forward to playing this course again!

One of the Worst Courses Around
I’m sorry, I’m not one for leaving negative reviews but there is so much wrong with this course, I feel like I have to share. Lets start with the price. I played on a weekday and was charged $44 to play what can only be described as a goat track. $44 for these conditions should be a felony. The greens were not much more than hard packed mud with mostly moss to give them a bit of color. Fairways are rock hard and severely sloped with hardly any grass on them to keep good shots from rolling off into oblivion. The cart path on the back 9 can put you in traction if you are not careful. The front has newer, nicer paths but don’t let that get your guard down. I won’t be back. This place is a under $30 quality golf course and if they charged appropriately, thats one thing but seriously, I can’t believe they have the nerve to charge what they do.

I've been playing C.Hill for 20 years and you get what you pay for. No more bunkers, no fert.,greens thin, & bare minimum done. County owned now so low priority.

Course Needs Work
Greens were really rough. Tee boxes were grassless. Some of the cart paths were almost impassable. I wasn't sure if I was going the right way to get to the eighth hole. Then, the tee box on that hole was not obvious. I figured I'd try the course since I'm recently retired and have time to drive to courses that are farther away. I probably won't return because the course was in such bad shape. It is unfortunately. It seemed like it is one of those courses that has limited funding to maintain the course.

Tougher than it looks
While not a very long course, it has very narrow fairways and difficult greens to read, making it a little more difficult than would seem at first. Over the years, the course has begun to be in consistently better shape and is starting to live up to the cost to play the course. Slow play however has been a problem, as people just take way too long to play than what should be expected for a course that should take roughly 3 hours to play.
