Collins Hill Golf Club

Played the course on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty packed and we waited quite a bit. Course is quirky with lots of blind shots where you hope your ball ends up in play. Pretty short even from the back tees. Greens were atrocious, with at least 5-6 that had numerous bare spots covering large areas. Perhaps attacked by a fungus? Course would be good for new players as it is relatively short. If greens were better, I would give this course a higher score

This was a fun course with some good thinking holes and kept things interesting throughout the round. I’d play again. My two major issues were that the greens had some disease or burnout that made some greens unable to putt. Also, the cart paths are broken up in some areas and need some repair. Fairways and tee boxes were in really good shape.

Greens, cart paths, sand traps, all are in terrible shape. Could be a fun course, but right now it’s a glorified cow pasture.

If you don’t care about your score and just want to get out of the house this course might be okay. If you care about your score and playing well even slightly, go somewhere else. The fairways and tee boxes look good but most of the greens are unputtable. One of the par 5’s on the front almost had more bald areas on it than grass. Also the cart paths are borderline unusable for half the track. There’s more pot holes and craters on that path than the streets of downtown Atlanta. Not sure what’s going on over there but until they fix it I’d recommend saving yourself a lot of unnecessary frustration and playing somewhere else.

This could be a beautiful course but there is little money spent on keeping the grounds in good playing condition. They are losing the putting greens, which is sad.

I would like to play here more often since it's so close to home, but for now I'll take my money and game elsewhere.

Greens were in bad shape, lots of golfers that had no golf etiquette, not to mention the old guys gambling in the clubhouse. I got no problem with gambling, but at least have so class, don’t just have all the money laying in the table.

The course was in decent shape. The pace of play was excellent and we enjoyed our day

Overpriced for what it is. Greens were terrible. We got behind 4 guys who had no business playing old, and the marshal drive by 3 times and never said a word to them, even after we said something. Just nodded and rode off in his cart. Only positive was the cart came around plenty of times.

Saturday morning round, fairly slow paced. Signage all over the clubhouse says to keep pace to 4 hours, but we waited on every shot and played in 4:45. Very long round.

It’s a short/tight layout that challenges your accuracy. It is also quite hilly and difficult to see landing spots from several tees. But it is a very fair course that will allow some favorable misses. I’m a 15 handicap and shot 84. The par fives are quite easy and I had eagle putts on 2 of them.

Tees and fairways were in average condition. It is very dry and balls rolled way out and I lost 2 that should have stopped 15-20 yards short of hazards. I accidentally hit into the group ahead of us on #10 when I couldn’t see them from the blind tee shot when my ball rolled out 40 yards more than normal off the downslope.

Biggest course issue is the greens. They play lightning fast downhill and terribly slow uphill. Also, 5-6 of the greens are thoroughly diseased and don’t even offer a fair roll from some spots. I actually chipped over a large diseased patch at one point. It will take a lot of work to get them healthy. .

The course has a good layout but the cart paths are in extremely poor condition especially on back nine. Most of the greens were in good condition but several were very poor. The fairways on several holes were rough. Overall not worth the price.

The greens on this course did not fare well during the shutdown, especially the back 9. Maybe next year.

Never will go back very poor. Not good at all. Cost is a Play too much.

standing on the 3rd tee box and an hour into the round..... plus it was quite warm. Wish the rangers were more active to keep pace of play. I like the course and the rain this year has really improved conditions. Plus there is a cart girl, which you don't find very often right now.

We played here a couple of years age, the course was well maintained, just needed cart path repair. Fast forward to today. Still work on Cary path and the greens are like sand in a parking lot. For the prices charged by this course, one would expect so much more.

The course layout is up and down. The greens were all sanded and burnt out. The cart path was in terrible shape and many areas were washed out.

Like the lay out and the game play. quite a few blind holes but more than half the greens was in terrible condition - pure mud.

First time playing this course. Greens where in good condition, fairways were OK. Anything outside of the fairway in some holes was almost unplayable due to the amount of rocks in the soil. Besides that, nice layout, good pace of play and good value overall.
