Collins Hill Golf Club

Layout is not bad but course needs a lot of work. Greens and bunkers are horrible. Didn't even want to play here but is an in between course for my playing partner. If you can get a cheap tee time it is not bad, just know what you are getting into.

The staff is excellent. The greens need a little work. The bunkers need sand. But overall a challenging course we enjoyed ourselves.

A few greens need attention badly. Course layout is very nice--some easy holes, some challenging holes. A few scenic views.

THIS PLACE HAS REALLY GONE DOWNHILL IN THE LAST YEAR. SOME GREENS ARE HALF DEAD AND ARE LOADED WITH SAND. THE SAND TRAPS HAVE NO SAND AND ARE FULL OF ROCKS. HOPE THEY WORK ON THIS PLACE

Collins Golf course is need of major upgrade of there golf paths, and sand traps.

Tee time was delayed half hour for an event. Had to wait for course to clear. Could not finish 18 holes. Other than that they are keeping the course up nicely and should be in good shape for the rest of the year.

About 5 years ago, I said I would not be back to this course. I broke down yesterday and tried it again. I will not visit this course again. Very slow! Two or three groups waiting at tees. We never saw a marshall or other employee that would investigate or speed up slow groups. Before we did the same, many groups went on around the backup and just skipped several holes. Course was in terrible condition - very little or no grass and steep slopes and hard ground. Under these conditions, it is very difficult to keep balls from rolling into hazards.

With a full tee sheet and a packed course you'd at least expect to see a starter, but not on this day. No starter, no rangers, no monitoring of pace of play at all. Course itself was in decent shape, was better looking last year but it's still early in the spring so it could still be great this summer.

Greens in good shape, but the rest of the course is lacking. Major work needed in sand traps. Cart paths in bad shape and have the potential for serious injury.

Played behind a 5 some, which is totally unacceptable. Pace of play was horrible. Where is a marshall when you ned one?

Today's round was good, the course was in good shape and I was surprised by the speed of the greens

The sand traps need some serious work (add sand) and the cart path was really rough in several places

First off I set a tee time for 3 players and when I get to the course the say there is only 2 on the reservation and the other will have to pay full price, even know I showed the confirmation for 3 players. The Pro didn't know how to use the system, took about 20 mins just to ring someone out. Now to the course, hard as a rock. You could just go play on concrete and it would be about the same, most of the time you weren't hitting on grass even if you were in the fairway. Had a great time with friends on the course and that is the best part of this round.

This course was challenging, not very long but you must play to a spot, several holes with blind tee shots. We had fun, but could have move along a little faster if the group on front would move quicker, but all in all not bad. The weather was not perfect, over cast day but warmer than usual temperature.
