Collins Hill Golf Club

Still enjoy this course but they need to have Marshals to keep up the pace of play. Whether it's walkers holding up riders or a 3 some with a little kid letting him hit 4 or 5 shots out of a bunker while holding up a single, that is not what brings players back. Edicate is a much a part of the game as the game itself. Keep up the pace of play. Restrict walkers on the weekends or remind them to let faster player play through and everything works. If you need a marshal for that, there's already a problem.

This course plays well and provides great value for the price of the round. The greens were a little bumpy but other than that the course was fun to play and is a good way to spend an morning in the Greater Atlanta metro area.

The back nine (now the front nine) has a lot of upgrades that made it enjoyable.

Greens and fairways were in good condition

I was treated poorly because I booked a hot deal with Golf Now. He acted like I was a non paying customer. He was willing to move my tee time back in order for My family to play by our selves. When he found out that I booked thru Golf Now he said I could not move back.

I will not be joining this club ! Trophy Club here we come.

Collins Hill is an average muni. Conditions at the course have improved since my last round there about 2 years ago. The fairways are in fair to good condition. The tee boxes could use some leveling and top dressing, but are not the worst in the area. The greens are improved and quite playable, but need some time and additional attention. The bunkers are in terrible shape and need reconditioning. The bunkers are being played as Ground Under Repair.

I cannot recommend the course due to the bunker conditions and greens. Collins Hill is playable and generally a suitable choice if the player is price sensitive.

I've played here before and the course is in much better shape...The greens are tough to read and gauge the speed from hole to hole...The only issue was a lack of water on the course...given the heat and weather conditions, please make sure water is available or at least have a cart service...Overall, good experience and great value for the money...

Very good for the value! Course did have some bare spots in various spots on the fairways and bunkers were rough but if you're looking to just get out and play, this course is inexpensive and challenging at times.

Course definitely excellent shape compared to a couple years back....City helped landscape new rocks and bridge, and opened up fairways... Excellent staff and ground keepers, so please respect price, and course to help maintain cost for those of us that golf regularly at Collinshill... Golf pro is good too with knowledgeable tips to your game, and reasonable... I'm long overdue on compliment, and job well done to all of those at Collinshill.... Golfing their since 2003.... Pt....

Overall a good course. Fun to play, nice scenery. The main issue is the sand traps. They are in abominable shape. Some are mud pits, others just hard packed dirt. I write this not to damage the course's reputation, but in the hopes that they will fix them. When I first started playing the course about a year ago, they were in pretty decent shape, but I've seen no evidence they'be maintained them at all. If they would fix this one issue, I'd play Collins Hill just about every week.

I grew up in the Collins Hill area my whole life and this was always considered a 'home' course. Huge turn around in the last 2 years or so, so don't be afraid of old memories or rumors. They flipped the front and back nine, offering a totally different experience. The skinny traditional style course plays a challenging layout on certain holes where shot shaping is key. Fairways and greens full. Don't underestimate the speeds of the greens, especially down hill.

I kinda liked this course bc it was interesting how the holes were all by the next. At the end of one hole you were at the teebox for the next which made for precision shots. A slice will put you on the fairway of the hole before or after the hole your on which actually happened to another guy out there. Fairways were tight but I enjoyed a challenge. This course has some age to it which can be nice and in this case it was. Well kept up with. One thing I didn't like was driving on my cart across (under) a main road a good ways from the club house to get to the range for warm up. This course is very interesting in mainly good ways. Other than it seeming cramped and the range being a little drive, I really enjoyed this place as it seems low key and not over booked. I'll be back!!! Prices were very fair too, not over charged.

If this course gave me a free lifetime membership and paid me $20 for every round I played, I would still never play this course.

My time is more important, and I would not waste it on this course. Great for junior golfers and those who are just getting started with golf. Bad for anyone who actually wants to shoot well and have fun.

The course has some very picturesque holes especially at the tee box. The sand traps did not have any sand and very tight lies within the fairway. Nice course for the money and pace of play was great.

Fairways were hard and thin with no rough and hard pan areas on both sides of most fairways. Slight off center shots end up in woods or some ones back yard because nothing is present to slow ball down or stop it. Also tree roots and deep holes are present in this area making it hard to retrieve your golf ball. Greens were ok but again hard and would not hold incoming shots. Sand traps were void of sand in fact sand trap next to 9th green has had a water puddle in the bottom of it for some time. Poor excuse for a golf course.

The course was OK, the only bad areas were the bunkers. Some of the greens had bad areas and we're spotty, which made putting on them a little testing. The bunkers had no sand in them and we're dried up pretty hard, so you definitely wanted to stay out of them. Overall, it wasn't so bad that I wouldn't go back, but it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

I was able to get a great deal on a tee time (under $20 buck) course lay out can offer some tough shots. green are bit slow for me. Tee box can used some work. fairway are ok few hard spot , but that only lack of rain. overall nice course. I plan to play there again.

I paid for 18 I played 10. Was paired with hackers and went home angry. Par 3 16 which is now 7, 191 from the blue tee has an overhanging tree that needs to be cut. It's the closest golf course to my house, but I rather play the Trophy of Appalchee Club. I never have a good time at Collins Hill even when I'm just practicing. They need to quit overbooking.

Need to replace cart paths--lot of pot holes and holes.
