Collins Hill Golf Club

Hole #13 is listed as the 3rd easiest hole. This is not the case if the pin is placed in front. That green is like putting on glass. Fairways and cart path not in the best of conditions but the greens are in good shape. Will play again.

If they could improve the cart paths a bit that would help. Also, add more yardage markings on the course.

This course is a bit challenging but good for the average golfer. I will be back.

Great course very challenging. Greens are in excellent shape better have your putting game on for this course. Loved the long par 3s. Looking forward to playing this one again in the spring.

Collins Hill needs to stop pairing everyone they can with other people. I understand the urge to make money but there were plenty of carts there when we were checking in. Then when we made our way to the tee box to play we were greeted by 12 other people trying to tee off at once. Spread out the tee time options and quit just jamming people together. I know I am not alone in this because everyone we play with complains as well. Also the starter from Saturday needs an attitude adjustmen (average height, african american, maybe early 40s). He was completely rude not only this Satuday but a previous time. Very short, no waving, tried to make us conjoin carts when we already had established that we were paying for separate carts. Stared us down the entire time. Please get it together.....and fix your freaking sand its atrocious

I have not been there in a few years everything has changed back nine is now the front nine I really enjoyed it

I had not played there in several years due to deteriorating course conditions. It just seemed to be not worthy of the price. We found the greens to be very good to excellent. The fairways were in much better condition than a few years ago. Staff was friendly enough. Excellent value thru golfnow for $16 plus $4.45 per golfer. Will return soon.

Pros: Good practice facilities (range, putting, AND chipping greens), staff (pros hope and marshall) were friendly. Course layout was great, bunkers (fairway and green-side) are well-placed, and greens were well-kept and in great shape. Several cups needed to be recut as the edges were shot (I played after a gorgeous 3-day weekend, so it could be excused). In many spots, the cart path is wrecked (large holes, very broken/heaved) resulting in dangerous driving conditions. Maybe I missed them, but there were no bathroom facilities on the course, other than the clubhouse at the turn.

All in all, a very nice course, with a few caveats. I look forward to replaying in the near future.

Have not played this course in over 10 years, used to play it frequently but conditions had become poor at the time. While not pristine and manicured at a country club level, fairways, greens, and tees were very solid overall other than some choppy cart paths or side areas here and there. Some of the bunkers need a lot of work was my only conditions complaint.

Front 9 much longer than back 9, which is short but very tight overall. From back tees front 9 especially will make you work, lots of uneven lies, some steep hills, & definitely a course where local knowledge is important to know where to place your shots. Overall was a fun experience, took a few notes for next time, definitely will be back considering the quality of the layout and the economic prices.

I was a little concerned when i arrived because the parking lot was so full. Once i start play, it felt like i was the only one on the course. Pace was uncharacteristically superb. Greens were in fabulous shape though a little slow. Tee boxed have been brought back to lengthen the course including 3 par 5s on the front 9. Booked a Hot Deal on golf now for $13. It would be a bargain at twice that price. Overall a great experience.

I used to play this course a lot when we first moved to the area. For health and work reasons I had cut down the amount of golf I was playing. Now, that I am beginning to play a lot more I decided to play Collins Hill again. The course is in the best shape it has been in for many years. The greens are maybe in the best shape ever. Jim, who was working int e pro shop was very friendly and helpful. I plan to play it again very soon.

There are rocks in the sand (dirt) traps. The fairways got good rolls, but hard to hit fairway wood from the very short grass. Couldn't bring a cooler on the course and there wasn't any drinking water stations.

Starter was so unaccommodating , the manager for that shift was horrible . The starter and regulars were great and very welcoming. Nice course if you can get passed the AM starter....

Played on a Sunday afternoon while visiting the area. Pro shop staff was very friendly and helpful. Really exceeded my expectations for the price. Greens were so lush they were almost too slow! (With 3 1-putts & a chip in, who's complaining!) The fairways are a bit tight, but that just adds to the fun! Exciting elevation changes make for beautiful scenery. There was enough water and sand to keep you honest, but the bunkers were in poor shape - just packed mud. Note that the 9s have recently been swapped, so if you're using a phone app (GolfShot) check the scorecard first to avoid confusion. (Sent an update to GS) All in, I be back!

Was really surprised when I seen the condition of this course, Greens were in excellent condition.. And fairways were green and lush. Really enjoyed the round have to go back.. The only thing is if they fill in the bunker's this place would get 4.5 stars good challenge, you can use all your clubs in the bag.. Only paid 6 bucks. Got the hot deal and use my 10 bucks off through golf now.

2 dollar Nati light 16oz.... got it a 4th star.... course was 3 stars overall for the average condition.. but you have to keep in mind that this is 3 out of 5 and not even private clubs are normally 5s... Course had numerous elevation changes which gave it a fun course and the tight fairways make it challenging

First time playing, and a very fun course. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Very interesting course layout with some challenging holes. Definitely worth plying and I will be back in a week or two!

Course is poorly laid out and condition was extremely poor.

Cart paths were almost impassable.

I have played this course one time previously in the winter. The fairways were hard, grass was dormant and the greens were not the in the best of shape. I was pleasantly surprised what summer did to this course. Although the greens were recently aerated, the course played wonderful and was in good shape for the money spent. Will definitely return before winter takes over again.
