About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Just sad…
I have played this public course (closest to my house) many times. I am sad because this course has so much potential, but they are not even keeping up with basic maintenance. They have increased the price (explanation due to inflation), but they have effectively priced themselves out of the market. The cart path is horrible, I have never seen such dangerous conditions… it’s been years and they refuse to do anything about it. Like I sad, just sad.
Fast greens
The greens were in good shape and played faster than I remembered. Some of the fairways and tee boxes were pretty rough. Cart paths were absolutely terrible. Needs a lot of work to be worth $50 a round.

Course conditions
In general the course conditions are good, except that the green looks like synthetic surface, which makes the green speed very fast.
Also it would be better to have signs to show the direction to the next hole. I think I missed hole 16 & 17.

$20 course
They have a full bar and grill area, it was closed and has not been used in years i was told. there was a hot dog roller, that they ran out of hotdogs for before 1pm. 1 staff in the whole clubhouse made for a long wait time if she had any more than 2 people wanting different things. there was no way for me and my partner to get any decent food at the turn so i had to settle for crackers. the course itself was in TERRIBLE condition. fairways were mostly rock and gravel besides the giants puddles that were scattered around. it has not even rained in weeks. the grass parts felt like hitting off a cow pasture. green were mostly sprouts of crab grass and hard as a rock. hard to account bouncing left and right off the tufts of grass when reading your putts...this is a $20 maybe $25 dollar course at best. carts are pretty meh. only good prt was they were wide open since no one was there.

Good location if you live NE Atlanta area
Staff was not enthused..
Signage lacking
Course does not handle rain well
Narrow with small greens as well as a deep creek that runs all over.
Pretty pricey $52 off season.
No place like home!
I can play anywhere! But i enjoy coming here. Staff is super friendly and the course is very challenging and that will keep you coming back again and again. Don't worry about the old pics and reviews of others looking for a perfect course come play for yourself. You wont be disappointed.

This course is in pretty rough shape..
There was no starter, no Ranger.. the greens looked like they had not been mowed in two weeks.. Very rough and slow.. Fairways were not well maintained..
We had to wait 30 minutes after our assigned tee time because they ran out of carts… This caused us to miss the last 4 holes because of darkness…
I have played here many time and found this a disappointing experience..
