Mystery Valley Golf Club

Green are just patches of mud. I can only assume someone in DeKalb County has stolen all of the money available to maintain this course that they spent $10 million on last year. It used to be a budget friendly place to swing the sticks, now I wouldn’t let a cow graze on it.

Apparently, the greens recently had herbicide applied. There was very little grass showing but a lot of sand. Hopefully the greens will recover soon. I do like the course.

Greens were the worst this side of town.

I did not enjoy my around of golf at all. I was forced to pair up with a couple of guys that I had to wait on before I teared off would not have been a problem if the course was busy, but there was no one else on the course except for a foursome that tee off in front of us never saw a group come out after us I mentioned that to the starter, but he insist that we go out together

The greens were in really bad shape and cost us at least 10 strokes per player. They were like ashpalt

Only thing to mention was diabolical hold locations on the back? Pins were put on side hills and putts that were barely moving at the hole would roll off the green??

Fairway conditions were great but green conditions could not be worse. Greens felt like you were putting on dirt that were spray painted green. Tee boxes were overall in decent condition but there were a few that were practically all dirt

Just dropping a review to make anyone playing after 4/20/2025 aware of the greens. I am not sure what happened and how long it will take to recover but we were not made aware of the fact that every inch of every green is basically gone. The fairways were running pretty fast but each and every green was just unplayable. Putting was somewhere between cement and a game of Plinko. We love this course and will return, just not until the greens have grass on them again.

This course is such a great layout and such a good deal, but it stops there. After completely renovating their greens one year ago, as of today, they are unplayable and probably the worst greens in the greater Atlanta area. Even though I’ve played this course more than anything else in the area, I will not be returning.

Furthermore, they completely mismanage their tee sheets on the weekend. They decided that Saturday is a good day for their men’s league to play. This leads to additional groups being added and players starting on the back nine, so they need to make the turn right at the busiest part of the day.

This course has such potential, but the greens are in terrible shape. Hardpack sand.dirt and weeds populated far more of the green than any grass. They need to close for a while and regrow them. I won't be back this year.

Let me start by saying I have played here 30+times, I like the layout, the staff, the course etc but the greens are in terrible condition. I cannot recommend paying to play here until that changes and unfortunately it looks like it may be many months before they will improve. Very disappointing because I really enjoy playing Mystery Valley.

The greens were not in good shape. It made for a long day. I’m not exactly sure what is going on with the greens. It was like putting on packed dirt, sand and grass all rolled up in one. I would love to come back when the greens are in better shape.

I had the chance to play the Mystery Valley with my son in April. I loved the course design but could tell from the conditions that it had not yet recovered from the colder winter weather. Greens were fast due to lack of grass but were still pretty true. I would love to play the course again.

1.5 hrs in called it quits after almost getting 3 holes in. No pace of play management. Pretty unreal cannot suggest this course. Staff was friendly, greens were sanded can’t speak much about layout b/c I couldn’t wait 8 hrs to get a feel for the course.

Not sure what happened to greens replaced in last couple years, hope they recover. Probably not go back until greens improve. Maybe consider offering a price break considering greens current conditions. Staters helpful by allowing us to go off back to help with pace of play, 3.5 hrs round.
