Golf
Excellent course for the cost. Beautiful and well kept one of my favorite state park golf courses and we will be back. Also, staff are always amazing
Lovely course
Had a lovely round at Highland Walk. Course was quiet on a sunny day. Fairways and greens in great condition.
Golf as it should be played
Great day of Golf @ Highland Walk. Greens and overall condition was vg and gonna get better with all that fertilizer on the ground. I like the layout and it is tough enough for me. 480 Yard Par 5 18th is all uphill and tough.
Awesome course
The course is in great shape on a few greens that are showing signs of disease. This is a great course with many challenging holes. We enjoyed our day and would definitely play here again.
Pace of Play
We had a 8:20 tee time and there was a group of 6 in front of us. It took over 2 hours to play the front 9 waiting on every hole. No marshall or anyone said anything about the pace of play to these kids. I did not think a group of 6 could play. They never offered to let us play through and was only 2 in my group.
Great Course
Course is in fantastic shape. Very well taken care of. Guess it’s just the grass species that makes the greens roll slow but they were still very nice. Watch out for the bluebird nests when exchanging out your sand!
Elevation Change
Hidden gem. Well kept course with some challenging elevation change. Dog-Legs are plenty. Overall the course was in great shape and would imagine beautiful colors during the fall
Worth it.
It's easily one of the best courses I've played in my short time playing. The par 5s were crazy long and presented a very tough challenge. The par 3s were short and fun. The par 4s were plentiful with plenty of variety. The greens and fairways were spacious and in pretty great condition. The carts were very nice and I loved the auto breaking and monitor. Although the GPS was slightly off, locking the cart when you were not even in the woods and sometimes on the cart path. All I all, it's a very nice course.
Quality Course for the Price
Went to this course for the first time. I have been to other Georgia state park courses and this one did not disappoint. A few of the greens weren’t in the best shape, but overall the course was fun and challenging. I will definitely be back.
Scenic, Well Maintained and Highly Strenuous
The positives: Great Value. As part of the State Parks courses, the prices are great. The course is very well maintained and nice carts. The views are beautiful.
The negatives:
Range closed on Mondays, the geofencing in the carts was a constant frustration. Often shutting the carts down even while on the cart path. The Hilliest, no, most mountainous course I’ve ever played. Bring an oxygen bottle.
Great value
The greens were perfect, which is a big deal to me. The value here was excellent. Pace of play was a little on the slow side. There are some really fun holes and some that are a little silly due to the terrain. The clubhouse team was a joy and the starter did a nice job as well. I'd go back, probably on a weekday versus a weekend. Keep those greens perfect!
First Time
This is a very nice course with challenging terrain. Very helpful staff the course condition was excellent.
