Just not for me
I just don’t like the design. I have played here once before and knew that to expect, but $20 for 18 is hard to say no to. It’s way too much up and down with blind shots every hole. You almost never have a flat lie on an approach into a green.
Conditions are fine. It rained for days before my tee time so was pretty saturated. Even so, the greens were furry and infested with bugs. The bunkers I found drained surprisingly well considering how the rest of the course did not.
Staff is super nice and clubhouse is nice for a state park.
The hardest course I've played...and enjoyed every hole of it
Great course. Excellent condition. Super challenging for my novice game. It's pretty much a mountain course IMHO. After playing pretty much in the Carolina foothills and a few times on the flat coastal courses, this was a unique refreshing challenge.
Challenging course
Lots of hills and fun. Gold course and greens in great shape despite the heat.
Great state park course
Always a challenge, but fun hilly course. Fairways in excellent shape and greens are coming back around from being punch nicely. Had a few bumps but not bad and can’t beat it for the price. Friendly staff and pace of play is always great during the week.
Great golf course
The greens were covered in leaves during July... kinda caught me off guard. But the fairways were nice. Some friendly holes for beginners and some that are challenging to intermediate players. All in all a great golf course.
Nice public course
The course was in the best shape I’ve seen it and I’ve been playing it for about five years now. The staff was nice and the clubhouse was in good supply with of goods.
Challenging
Very challenging course lots of maintenance workers around early morning overall very nice course not very friendly to beginners I wouldn't think
Great course
It's a very beautiful course in the fall. Greens are challenging. Great place to play!
