Southbridge Savannah Golf Club

We had 9 holes scheduled for today at 11:40 and we thought we would have time to play our round but after 6 holes and it being 2 already we had to cancel to make a meeting at 3.

After a Christmas visit to family in Savannah, we stopped on the way out of town to play 9 holes on the way back to Atlanta. Ended up playing the back 9, as 2 fivesomes teed off on #1 about 5 minutes before our scheduled time (regular scramble, I guess) No worries, since the back 9 was wide open and we finished in just under 2 hours. Greens were brushy, sticky and slower than what I'm used to, but figured them out as we went along. Overall, nice experience and will be back to play the whole course!

Southbridge Golf Club is an excellent facility for the money. Superb staff; fairway and greens in good condition.

Very much enjoyed our time at southbridge. It was a last minute quick stop as we headed to NC from FL. Couldn’t beat the price!

Constantly upgrading the course.They are continuing to make improvements to Southbridge. It will take more time but they are making significant changes. Redoing Cara’s path adding concrete to the driving range area, and making overall improvements. I love the progress that’s being made.

Good price, just a bit unorganized with the carts. We were waiting for two carts to open up and people kept taking the used/dirty ones. Then we realized we had to just take what ever cart came back and head out with it.

Staff was friendly enough but it just seemed unorganized or under staffed.

Course greens were decent and and it was still a great value.

I personally found good things and some things that need some improvement. Keep in mind this course is a work in progress!

The driving range was very beat up and tuff to find a consistent hitting area where grass was. The putting green needed some lovin but this gave a test of how fast and consistent the greens were! The tree-lined fairways were beautiful. Sand in bunkers was nice and fluffy. Some tee boxes needed help. The trash on the course was disappointing. That could easily be fixed and add to the beauty of the course. Greens were fast! Beautiful bridges and scenery. Last thing was our playing partners cart died on 17 and we had to push her in with our cart. But for 40 bucks, I really enjoyed the course. Go play it and support this course so they can make it the local gem it once was!!

The course has a nice and challenging layout with a great mix of holes. Some greens were pitted in areas but most rolled pretty well. Green surrounds and tees were rough, especially on the first few holes. The back nine was in better shape. The greens fees were very reasonable.
