Front 9 closed - aeration work
Aeration work on front 9, had to play back 9 twice.
Great well designed couse
Novice golfer, played over a dozen courses and this had some of the best greens and was beautiful and challenging

Terrible.
Course is trashed.
Nothing about this place is nice. Which is sad because it really has great potential.
No water for players on an 85 degree day. All shops and facilities locked at 5 with no communication.

WATER COOLERS !!!!!!!!!@!!
It's that time of year make sure you refill the coolers.
Tee off at 130p, usually the hottest part of the day..ALL COOLERS bone DRY..called pro shop to alert them..there are what 4 coolers on course?..NEVER refilled..Guys, that is UNACCEPTABLE..I saw multiple teenagers at the cart barn...GET IT DONE..you start on the Back 9 and work your way to the Front..It is not rocket science..it's important

Not a $65 course
Scott in the clubhouse was great, everything went downhill after that. Bathroom smelled like weed and there were no paper towels in the dispenser. Not something I'd normally comment on, but it seemed like an omen at the time and it was. No starter, and I never saw a marshal on the course and the pace of play was pathetic. Fairways sketchy at best and hard as a rock. Greens were fast but not in a good way, they were hard as a rock also and seemed more baked than anything. Never saw a single ball mark. Layout is great though, you have to be able to work it and it pays to know where many of the hidden hazards are. It has the potential to be a $65 course, but not as it is now.

Slipping
I’ve played this course maybe 50-100 times. It’s never been what I would call a spectacular course. But is has ALWAYS been of a consistent quality. The greens have always been in good shape (other than when aerated twice a year). Medium to medium-fast speed, rolling true. Maybe a few thin spots but decent fairways with good enough grass to hit off. You could RELY on this course being at least being of solid consistent quality. You could use this course as a baseline for your putting and adjust from there for other courses.
What I am seeing now concerns me. The greens are tamped down, hard as concrete, and super fast. This is not fast in a good way. It’s like they couldn’t afford to aerate, and didn’t cut for lack of rain, but rolled them anyway. There are “buds” of foreign grass all over them. There are brownish spots. One green actually had two holes about 1’ x 2’ filled with sand. Tiny “bunkers” on the green lol.
The fairways and tee boxes are worse. Several holes on the back nine have always been.a challenge keeping it on the fairway because of the slope. But a well placed proper shot would stick. Well now, often with no grass to hold the ball, forget it. 14 is a great example. 200 yard shot left center gets you a 100 yard approach form the “bowl” right center. Not anymore. It rolls right into the ditch. I’m not sure WHAT shot would hold that fairway now.
It’s sad. But the management of this course needs to decide if they want to maintain the quality they have had for YEARS, or devolve into a goat track.

A Great Time Was Had
I went for an early tee time and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I ended up going out with another gentlemen, since I was by myself. Courteous staff, very hospitable, and a peaceful morning of golf. Great way to start off my birthday!

Surprisingly impressive
For late winter, the course was in remarkably good shape. I was actually shocked at the crowd for a Wednesday morning. And that I feel, was mainly to blame for the delayed play.(Not terrible though)
Overall I thought it's pretty well designed, and would like to play here again when the course is in tip top shape. Not very long, but the mix of a number of tight fairways and blind tee shots, make it slightly challenging and a lot of fun. Especially for beginners like me. 👍

Course has a fun layout, but the conditions have been let go over the years. I noticed the greens have Poana growing in which means the superintendent probably did not use any pre-emergent. Hopefully they will fix some of the areas and get a bush hog in there to clean out some of the overgrown brush. It does have some potential but it needs a lot of love and care.
