Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course

The last few months have not been kind to this course. Possibly the worst greens in the Metro Atlanta area. I suggest playing literally anywhere else

The only thing that we felt should be waived was the parking fee of$20.00. We were not entering the park area we only wanted to play golf.

Had not played Stonemont in years. Staff at the pro shop were very helpful and my early morning tee time meant I had the course to myself. Finished the round in 3 hours. I find the course scenic and interesting but the greens are a disaster. Whether it is mold or weather or something else most of the green had damage that affected each putt. I hope at some time they can fix this because otherwise it was a delight to play.

We booked a hot deal on the Stonemont course for $85ea after fees and could not be more disappointed. I grew up playing here and love the layout. The staff and facilities are very nice but we left with a feeling that we got ripped off. There are so many courses around Atlanta the are more fairly priced and in MUCH better condition. Big thumbs down this time around

All this course needs is new greens. Dirt patches all over the green

This course was in exceedingly poor condition with some sort of fungus growing all over the greens. There’s an extra $20 charge just to enter Stone Mountain State Park which is not listed on the GolfNow website

The greens were all but unplayable. I’m told that weather has played a big part of that but I don’t know if that’s the entire case.. Also, what you’re not told is that it costs $20 to get into the park where the course is. I will definitely come back but not until the course has a chance to get back in shape.

I've played the other stone mountain course a few times, and earlier this year it was in good shape. This course was in awful shape. 14 out of 18 greens were unplayable. They were dead mud patches. Putting was a joke, we couldn't keep an accurate score because of the greens. Normally, if a course is redoing their greens, they offer a discount, or at least give the golfers a heads up. Nope, they charged full price and no mention that their greens were the worst in Atlanta. We will never play here again, and will tell everyone we know to not play here.

Terrible course. I only paid $28 on a hot deal and almost feel like I didn’t get my moneys worth. Greens horrible. You can put through muddy bare spots slick new sodded areas and patchy greens with a lot of grain all in one putt. Some bunkers were washed out and hard Had to chip out. Fairways front nine hard packed. I can’t believe the normally charge a hundred bucks to play. I would have blown my top

Do not play this course. The greens are a joke, I wouldn’t call this real golf. 15 out of 18 greens were bare. Black patches of mud that have been there for weeks. There was no warning from the staff. We will never play here again and will tell everyone we know to stay away.
