Horrible Experience - I’ll Need A Refund
My Tee-Time was set for 11:40 AM apparently there was a tournament scheduled and Southland did not properly schedule the available teetimes
There was a 15 minute wait at each Teebox with multiple tournament groups staggering the holes
Southland should’ve been honest with adjusting the available teetimes according to the tournament start time and size
This was a horrible experience I won’t be back for a while
(again it’s not the first time)

Improving Greens
The course is in good condition. The greens keeper is working hard to improve the Greens condition and it is showing. Enjoyed playing there more this time and I like the layout very much. This course is a little gem!

The course needs a lot of maintenance. Greens had multiple repair zones with metal screens and staples. Bunkers were in horrible shape without any sand in them. Will choose to play on other nearby courses before going back to Southland.

Fairly nice Course
Greens were in excellent shape. Fairways were in good shape as well. Cart Paths were a bit rough, could use some repair

Challenging course with well kept greens
The course looks a bit shabby at first glance but is actually really nice. The greens rolled fast and were pretty challenging as there are a lot of slopes. In addition, the course is pretty narrow and has a lot of deep woods which makes playing an accurate shot important.

Making Improvements
For the money really good. There were, however, some tee boxes without grass . The greens were in good shape. Some sand traps had no sand..
Best value in Stone Mountain.

Greens!
I have played this course on and off for several years. This course layout has always been challenging, but the conditions and fairways have always been below standards. Henceforth, during this round I could greatly see the improvements and investments in course conditions (landscape work)and the greens were in phenomenal shape.

The golf course is in good shape. It looks like they have new management the clubhouse looks a lot cleaner and neater!

Great day
Although it was cold and breezy, we had a great time.
The greens were amazing. Smooth and slightly quick. Downhill putts were very challenging, as they should be. The leaves were well-blown off the fairways and greens. Just a great experience.

Southland is a good course and a good value for the fees they charge. It’s pretty wide-open and the greens were in good shape. It’s definitely challenging for the average golfer.
BYOB and food. They have drinks and snacks but no food.
