Better than negative reviews
As a former avid golfer whose played at all level courses, this course is good. This was my first time out and I too was skeptical after reading the mixed reviews. However, the course is well-maintained although there are areas (outside of good play) that are not great. Thankfully, someone finishing up (that plays there weekly, mind you) gave me a heads up that the areas surrounding the greens are sponge-like, requiring me to adjust when lying there. My 2 party played behind a party of 3. We had a typical slower play because of that, but nothing out of the ordinary. The staff there is phenomenal!! From the clubhouse concierge to the Marshall, as well as the course maintenance. Everyone did their jobs to perfection, asking how things were going, ensuring us a great game. I suggest anyone considering this course to come see for yourself! Keep an open mind. And if your play is horrible, then and only then will you experience the not so great areas that are outside of decent play.
Worst Course Ever
This really isn't worth my time for a review as there was nothing good about the course or conditions. JUST DON"T GO THERE.
Good bargain for a round of golf
The course layout is good. It is rough with a lot of bare spots. Not finely manicured but great for the wallet. Staff is nice. There was some confusion when checking in with my name not on the list. Luckily, I had my confirmation email and payment.. They were able to find a print out for my Golf Now reservation, though my name was not on it but my mobile phone was. I’d play again.
Had Fun
My son and I played 9 holes and we had a wonderful time. The course was staff friendly and a good value
Good for money
Good course for the money. It was in rough shape today. Grass had not been cut for a while and spent too much time looking for my ball in fairways. Also repairs going on at 1st hole. Wish they would roll greens.
TeeTom
This course is for the budget minded golfer. Layout was nice, the greens were like putting on Velcro, fairways were ok, there was not pace of play, no marshals, was hard to tell the fair from the ruff, a great course for beginners. Better than no course to play locally.
Priced right for the condition
$25 was the right price for this course. It was crowded but the pace was great. Finished 18 in just less than 4 hours. Tee boxes and greens need some love. But was in the shape you’d expect for $25. I didn’t come in expecting to play at a fancy country club course. I like pine hills and think it’s a good course to practice at and improve your skills.
Terrible Course
There's no Marshall so if your round is like mine was they'll be 12 people stacked up behind two old guys who are oblivious to others. The greens were surprisingly good. The fairway, cart paths are non existent and I mean That literally in some place. The path just stops so you cut across the fairway ND find where it picks back up. Staff was nice. You get what you pay for I guess. We didn't even finish our round.
Excellent public g c
Staff is very friendly and professional. Always tee off on time and play moves along with minimal waits.
Basic golf, but fairly priced.
If you are looking for pristine conditions and firm fast greens, you may want to look elsewhere. If however you want basic, affordable golf and don’t mind some rough spots, give Pine Hills a try. Interesting layout, rather hilly in spots, with some blind shots to contend with. The front 9 is more open, the back a bit tighter. A few holes where water comes into play, but only a couple of forced carries. Greens were pretty small with generally slow, old style Bermuda surfaces, but fairly smooth overall. Very friendly staff!
Good For The Money
Course is in good shape just wish they would provide sand to cover the divots. Greens need a little more a attention. Good course for the money
