Priced right for the condition
$25 was the right price for this course. It was crowded but the pace was great. Finished 18 in just less than 4 hours. Tee boxes and greens need some love. But was in the shape you’d expect for $25. I didn’t come in expecting to play at a fancy country club course. I like pine hills and think it’s a good course to practice at and improve your skills.
Terrible Course
There's no Marshall so if your round is like mine was they'll be 12 people stacked up behind two old guys who are oblivious to others. The greens were surprisingly good. The fairway, cart paths are non existent and I mean That literally in some place. The path just stops so you cut across the fairway ND find where it picks back up. Staff was nice. You get what you pay for I guess. We didn't even finish our round.
Excellent public g c
Staff is very friendly and professional. Always tee off on time and play moves along with minimal waits.
Basic golf, but fairly priced.
If you are looking for pristine conditions and firm fast greens, you may want to look elsewhere. If however you want basic, affordable golf and don’t mind some rough spots, give Pine Hills a try. Interesting layout, rather hilly in spots, with some blind shots to contend with. The front 9 is more open, the back a bit tighter. A few holes where water comes into play, but only a couple of forced carries. Greens were pretty small with generally slow, old style Bermuda surfaces, but fairly smooth overall. Very friendly staff!
Good For The Money
Course is in good shape just wish they would provide sand to cover the divots. Greens need a little more a attention. Good course for the money
Ok for the money
For the price it’s a great course, but you do get what you pay for. Course is in pretty good shape but the greens are the slowest I have ever played and the fairways are like concrete. Carts are gas powered and sluggish but in good condition. Pace is slow due to the lack of a marshal. If you are looking for a fun round with friends just messing around I would recommend here.
You get what you pay for, and more!
Look the course isn’t the most pristine nor the Clubhouse/Pro shop anything fancy. But come on it’s $20-30 a person for 18 holes of a pretty easy course, relaxed course rangers and a loot of new players make the overall experience great. Go out, waste some balls down the course or hit some at the range. It’s all affordable for learners and those looking to have an affordable and fun time!
Nice people but no restrooms on the course, no ice, no water on the course 100 degrees that day. May be good with a hot deal but not full price.
$30 it is what it is…
I read all of the reviews here and my expectations were super low. For the price, you cant beat it. I played on a Friday (tt 10:30) as a threesome and we didn’t wait on a single hole. Shot +2 and even got an Eagle on a really short par 5 (we played the blue tees). It’s not that long and it’s wide open. The greens are slower than slow, so don’t play here if you have a tournament the next day on quick greens; it’ll kill ya. On the plus side, all of your approach shots will literally just die on the greens basically wherever you aim your shot.
Again, it’s $30 so kinda is what it is. Good luck! 👍🏼
Great day
Had a great day, greens grass was a little long on some holes that caused very slow misreads. Will definitely be back. Best hot dogs anywhere!
Not bad
Not a bad course but not one at the top of my list to play. Good value for the money if you want a quick fun round . Staff was A1 super friendly and helpful. Course conditions weren't that great, greens need a little work but almost there. Fairway grass very inconsistent with what a fairway should be. Bare spots, sand and rocks. Overall not a bad course. Id definitely play there again..
Course is a cash cow.
Great price $23, very friendly staff. Course in poor condition, met superintendent. Nice guy doing all he can, it's obvious they don't give him much to work with. Greens way too much thatch, difficult to read and putt. After playing CGC on Monday. ( Night and day differences) Lots of bare areas all over the course. In consistent grass everywhere. Playing for $23 there really is nothing to complain about.
Best condition this yeat
Course currently in good shape and well maintained
Great public course
Great, affordable and playable course for any level player. Highly recommend!
Senior golfer review
I am 70 years old and travel 50 miles one way once a week to play at Pine Hill . I really like the course with mostly wide open fairways and easy access to the greens. It is kept up really well for a community golf course. Not a fancy country club but the facilities are well cared for. The bonus is the price to play is very reasonable. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Value course, Great for beginners
First time playing here. Staff was very friendly. Course is basically an old farm. Very little water, nearly no bunkers. Very good place to learn. Tee boxes could use attention. Some were downright awful. But it’s insanely cheap. So not a big deal.
Will definitely be back.
