One complaint ...... the cart paths are in terrible condition ....
Sunday at Harborside
Considering the amount of heavy rain the course received on this Sunday morning it was very playable Sunday afternoon.
The Port Course Ian way challenging from the Blue tees. Traps are in play from the tee for most 5 to 13 handicappers.
I suggest working on chipping out of the rough at the practice area before your round! It saved me on man
Awesome course
Great course in spectacular condition. Fast greens. Be prepared for Chicago winds.
Good Round
By far one of the nicest public courses you can play. The price reflects the value. Look forward to playing her again
Open Style Links in Chicago
Overall this is a beautiful course. It's designed as an open style links course you would see off an ocean. Obviously the big omit is you won't get links style weather conditions you would see in the British Isles, or off the ocean or a great lake. It's close to Lake Michigan, so you'll get a breeze and some high winds with a storm nearby, but not similar to what you see on TV when it's off an ocean. But what you do get is the open layout with fescue, thick playable rough, rolling hills, and plenty of bunkers. It's fun due to how you are really thinking of where you want to land your ball since if you hit it too far by accident, right into a bunker, or if you are off a bit to the right or left is the fescue. It adds the mental thinking to how you want to approach your shots, especially how some greens are very large leaving you with a 40+ foot putt. I say go for putting over a bunker shot, but those putts aren't easy at all. Also the greens were in great shape, and the breaks were subtle and made you think.
My only issue, which is personal, is my driver was horrible with me topping the ball again. I resorted to my 4 iron or fairway wood, which at least got into the air, but if you are struggling with distance, it will hurt you on some holes. It's challenging course, but designed in a good way.
Great Course, Great Times
Played Port today and felt a little easier than starboard. Both great courses!
Great Course
First time playing, great lay out. Tee’d off at 3pm on a monday, I got to play completely by myself the entire round. Definitely would play again
Enjoyable Round of Golf
Course was challenging and well maintained. What more can you ask for?
Links Style Course
Great conditioning all around the course, greens were perfect and quick. Pace of play was excellent 4hrs and 15 mins. My playing partner couldn't believe we were in Chicago, thought it was more like South Carolina.
Excellent Facility
Played the Port course, extremely windy. Beautiful layout, very challenging, course in excellent condition. Hadn't played here in years given I live in NW burbs, worth the trek. Got a great hot deal thru Golfnow.
Fantastic track
Review is for the Port course. I really like the layout with rolling fairways and soft hills. Fairways are fairly generous and fair. Good balance of bunkers, pond and cabbage to keep you honest. Pace of play is great even with cart path only and several walkers.
I must say that the staff is super friendly. They greet you and chat with you. What I like most is that they don’t treat you any different when booked with Hot Deal. I been to enough courses that are not too friendly with Hot Deal golfers. This is not a cheap course and they treat you with respect even if you didn’t pay full price.
Enjoy this course and worth the 1 plus hour drive there.
Late November golf at harborside.
For late November course was in great shape, a little over priced at $75 after Chicago tax but a very nice course all said.
Will definitely play It next year..

Great Course
Shockingly good golf course. I will play it again. Very interesting layout - challenging but still playable from the back tees.
